Step 1 - Complete Online Enrollment Application

Visit the Aeries Internet Enrollment page and follow the prompts to enroll your student

Step 2 - Submit Documentation

Submit the required documents to the appropriate SST listed below by grade (email preferred):

• Two forms of address verification: mortgage, lease, gas, water, or electric only
• Birth Certificate or Passport
• Parent Identification
• Proof of Immunizations, including Tdap and two Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccines
• Withdrawal from previous school with Withdrawal Grades (if withdrawn prior to end of school year)
• Final Report Card/Transcript
• Most recent Standardized Test Scores (if available)
• Special Program documents, such as IEP or 504

Immunizations required for entry into 7^th grade include proof of Tdap (which must have been given to the student after their 7^th birthday) and 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox vaccine).  As of 2016, having had the chickenpox disease no longer exempts students from needing the 2 doses of the vaccine for entry into 7^th grade.  

The only way a student can be exempt from any required vaccine is to get a Medical Exemption from the State of California through the CAIR ME program. To register: https://cair.cdph.ca.gov/exemptions/home.

Immunizations are available not only from your child's doctor, but also at many of the local pharmacies and medical clinics. The SVUSD Health Services page also provides resources for Free and Low Cost clinics.

If you did not provide your immunization records to the elementary school, please provide them to our office July 23rd - July 29th from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM.  Students cannot attend Roadrunner Rally on July 28th and 29th unless immunization records are current. 

Students will not be permitted to attend school without proof of immunizations.

Does your student carry an inhaler or will they need medication at school? Please note that new Medical Authorization Forms and Emergency Care Plans are required each school year. Please visit the SVUSD Health Services page for more information.

Medications can be dropped off by an adult to the front office beginning July 24th between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

To ensure a smooth and efficient Roadrunner Rally, all families are required to make purchases through the RSM Webstore prior to the rally. Many other items are available on the website, including spirit wear and yearbooks.

Beginning July 2026, ALL families must complete online Data Confirmation through a parent account on the Aeries Family Portal. This must be completed prior to the Roadrunner Rally scheduled for July 28th and 29th.

During Data Confirmation, you will complete the following:

• Review and update demographics, emergency contacts, and medical information
• Print and sign the required forms: Annual Notification and Emergency Card

Please pay special attention to your emergency contacts - only those listed will be allowed to pick up your student during school hours.

Roadrunner Rally

7th Grade: Tuesday, July 28th

What is Roadrunner Rally?

During this time, textbooks, planners, and PE clothes will be distributed (and Chromebooks to those that are new to the district). School pictures will be taken for ID's and the yearbook and will be available for purchase through South Coast Photographic. This is also a great time to meet our staff and enjoy a campus tour led by our ASB students.

Roadrunner Rally Yellow Postcards

Yellow postcards will be mailed in July with detailed information about Data Confirmation and Roadrunner Rally. ALL families must complete online Data Confirmation through the Aeries Family Portal prior to Roadrunner Rally.

The yellow postcard is your ticket into Roadrunner Rally. If you do not receive a postcard (and have not moved), please bring two forms of address verification (mortgage/lease, gas, water, or electric). Families without this documentation will not be able to proceed through the rally.

The 2026 - 2027 School Year begins Wednesday, August 19, 2026

Every Monday is our PLC Minimum Day, where students attend 8:10 AM - 1:07 PM. Our schedule Tuesday - Friday is 8:10 AM - 2:55 PM.

Student schedules will be available in Aeries beginning Friday, August 14^th at 5:00 PM. Our campus will be open that weekend for students who wish to locate their classrooms. It will also be open after business hours, starting at 5:00 PM, on Monday and Tuesday.

Students will report to their homeroom on the first day of school, during which time they will receive a paper copy of their schedule.

Students should bring their ID cards, backpacks, and basic supplies (pens/pencils, paper, binder, and planner). Each teacher will distribute a syllabus with school supply lists during the first few days of school.

Students do not have school lockers, only lockers for PE class (a lock will be provided).

All snack and lunch meals will be free to all students every day. However, in order to qualify for other assistance programs, such as subsidized internet and utilities, families will need to complete the School Funding Form during Data Confirmation.
