Find important information regarding enrollment for students new to SVUSD as well as those continuing from schools within our district.

Roadrunner Rally Registration is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14th for 7th Grade and Thursday, August 15th for 8th GradePlease review and complete the required steps listed below in the Data Confirmation Process and Roadrunner Rally Documents prior to Roadrunner Rally. Data Confirmation Process

Data Confirmation begins August 5, 2019

All families must complete the Online Data Confirmation prior to the Roadrunner Rally in August.  If you are unable to attend Roadrunner Rally, please notify the RSM Office at 949-459-8253An SVUSD Parent Portal Account (not a Student Account) is required to register. All Data Confirmation paperwork will be completed online and brought to Roadrunner Rally. There will be no packet pick-up this year. Please follow the steps below to complete the Data Confirmation Process and prepare your forms and transactions for Roadrunner Rally Registration.

Step 1 - Parent Portal Account

  • If you already have an active Parent Portal Account, proceed to step 2.
  • If you do not already have a Parent Portal Account:
    • Create an SVUSD Parent Portal Account through the SVUSD Family Portal. See Quick Steps to Create a Parent Portal Account below for step by step instructions.

Step 2 - Data Confirmation

Visit the Aeries Family Portal. Follow all prompts and tabs within the Data Confirmation pages to confirm or update your student's data.

You must log in using a Parent Portal account to have access to Data Confirmation. If you do not see the yellow highlighted "Student Data Confirmation Process Click Here" link at the top of the Home Portal page, you are logged in as a student, not as a parent.

To see the linked Parent Portal accounts for your student:
  • Click on the Student Information tab at the top of the Portal page
  • Choose the Profile drop down tab
  • Scroll to the bottom of that page for the list of all linked portals
  • Log in using a Parent Portal
In the Data Confirmation window, you will do the following:
  1. Review and update demographic and emergency contacts and medical information
  2. Print and sign the required forms on both the Documents tab and the RSM Roadrunner Rally Documents link
  3. Return to parent portal to complete the data confirmation process

Step 3 - Prepare for Roadrunner Rally

Once the Online Data Confirmation is complete, review Roadrunner Rally Documents and complete as necessary. Bring all documents to Roadrunner Rally.  For additional information, refer to the Roadrunner Rally Agenda.

Roadrunner Rally Agenda

Roadrunner Rally Postcard

Yellow Roadrunner Rally postcards will be mailed in early August to remind families to complete Data Confirmation (Please refer to Data Confirmation Process). You must present this postcard at Roadrunner Rally, along with the materials you print during Data Confirmation. If you do not receive a postcard prior to Roadrunner Rally, please bring two proofs of residence (mortgage, lease, gas, water, or electric) to Roadrunner Rally.

Students can expect the following at Roadrunner Rally:

  • Receive a set of textbooks to keep at home
  • Take their picture for the Yearbook and Student ID card
  • Receive PE Clothes, Planner, and ASB Card (if purchased)
  • Join the PTSO and learn how families can get involved

Please bring the following during your assigned date and time:

  • Yellow Roadrunner Rally Postcard (REQUIRED)
  • Signed Emergency Card (REQUIRED)
  • Signed Data Confirmation Parent/Student Signature Forms (REQUIRED)
  • Optional Forms/Flyers with any necessary payment/webstore receipts
  • Backpack to carry textbooks, PE clothes, and planner
  • A ream of copy paper (donation to assist the school)

First Day of School - August 26, 2019

First Day of School

                                 The 2019 - 2020 School Year begins Monday, August 26, 2019.                                                                                         This is a PLC Minimum Day, 8:10 AM - 1:07 PM.

  • Homeroom lists will be posted by Student ID in the front of the campus after 5:00 PM on Friday, August 23rd. The campus gates will be open the weekend prior to school starting so you may tour the school from the outside.
  • Students will report to their Homeroom on the first day of school at which time they will receive their locator card (schedule).
  • Students should bring their ID cards, backpacks, and basic supplies (pens/pencils, paper, binder, and planner) and be ready to work.
  • School supply lists are handed out the first week of school. The supplies depend on the teacher/class.
  • Utilize the planner. The planner has a map, rotation schedule, and lists all of PLC days.
  • There are no school lockers, only lockers for PE class.

Step 1 - Online Enrollment

For students new to the district, SVUSD has set up an online data entry process that will help you get started with the enrollment process. You must have a valid address within Saddleback Valley Unified School District attendance area to use this system. Verification of residence and immunizations will be required before you complete the enrollment process.

Step 2 - Required Documents

Once you have completed the online enrollment process, the next step is to collect the required documents you must have in order to complete the enrollment process.

  • Two forms of Address Verification: Mortgage, lease, gas, water, or electric only
  • Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Proof of Immunizations, including the Pertussis (Tdap) and Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccines required by law
  • Printed Online Registration Form
  • Withdrawal from previous school (if withdrawn prior to end of school year)
  • Final Report Card/Transcript or Withdrawal Grades
  • Most recent Standardized Test Scores (if available)
  • Special Program documents such as IEP or 504

Step 3 - Registration Verification

Once you have assembled the required documents, please call our Guidance Office at 949-459-8253 to set up a registration appointment with the appropriate Student Services Technician.

Immunization Requirements

Effective July 1, 2019 all 7th grade students must submit proof of Tdap and Varicella (Chickenpox) immunizations.  Please note that two doses of Varicella is new for 2019. If proof was not submitted to your elementary school, please provide documentation to the RSM Office August 6th - August 9th during the hours of 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Students will not be permitted to attend school without proof of immunizations.

Quick Steps to Create a Parent Portal Account

The SVUSD Family Portal is a secure and private online resource that provides access to your child's emergency contact list, grades (from participating teachers), report cards, and test scores.

Quick steps to create a new Family Portal account

You will need the following information to complete your account creation:

  • Student's permanent six-digit ID number
  • Primary Phone (must match the submitted primary phone from AIR)
  • Verification Pass Code (VPC)
  1. You must have a valid email address to use the Family Portal. If you do not have one, please create an account using any online service and return back to start the process
  2. From the Family Portal icon, select "Create New Account" and follow the additional steps
  3. Account Type:  Select Parent Account (you must have a parent account to complete the data confirmation process)
  4. Account information:  Enter and verify your email address and create/verify a password
  5. Confirm your email account:  Go to your email inbox and retrieve the confirmation email along with the "Verification Pass Code"
  6. Emergency Contact Verification:  Once your student has been added to your account, choose the record that represents you and your Family Portal account will be updated

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • How do I register my child for fall?

Use the online registration process Data Confirmation from your Family Portal, PARENT account. The registration window opens August 3, 2018. At that time, the message to complete the online registration process will appear in a PARENT account highlighted in yellow.

  • What if I do not have a Family Portal Account for my child?

If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. You will need a valid email to create the account in Family Portal. Visit the Family Portal link below and choose and create a PARENT account.

  • What information is needed to create a Parent account in the Family Portal?
  1. Student’s permanent six digit ID number

  • How do I know if I have a Parent account in Family Portal?

When logged into your Family Portal account, go to the Profile tab. Check the Linked Portal Account email area for the email and type of account. Type P is Parent account and Type S is a student account.

  • What if I already have a Student account in Family Portal?

You will need to use a different email address and create a PARENT account. The Student account is a “view” only. The Parent account will allow you to update your child’s information.

  • What if I have more than one child attending SVUSD schools?

You only need one PARENT account per family. You will be able to add siblings.

  • What information will I be able to change on the Parent Portal?

    4. After you complete the updates, go to the Final Data Confirmation tab. Print the Student Emergency Card and complete the process as well as the Data Confirmation Receipt
