Wednesday: Cowabunga Attack (Wear Hawaiian shirts, flower leis, sunglasses)
Thursday: Surfer’s Roll Call (Dress Up as something that starts with the same letter as your first name)

Wednesday: Homecoming Pep Rally During 2nd period (Double Assembly Schedule)

Thursday: Back to School Night; class visits begin at 6 pm (Special presentations from guidance at 5)
Friday: Homecoming Football game at 7 pm vs. Corona del Mar
Saturday: Homecoming Dance at 7 pm (tickets available now!)

There are updates from guidance, including events and a mindfulness activity, activities updates, athletics updates, discipline, and more. There are tons of events being held this coming month: future ready, financial aid workshops, AP Exam ordering, the SVUSD College Fair, the Mission Viejo Walk Against Drugs, and many others.

SVUSD College Fair
Sign-Up NOW to receive your REGISTRATION link for SVUSD’s 2023 College & Career Fair, which is being held October 11th from 6-8pm on our Mission Viejo High School Campus. SVUSD’s College & Career Fair recognizes that everyone has their own path after high school. For some it is college, for others it’s the trades, perhaps cosmetology school or a career in the arts! This event will have resources & opportunities for all students. There will be representation from over 100 college & career representatives. There will also be valuable presentations for college prep, trade schools, sports eligibility, special education transition information, essay writing & so much more.

Future Ready 2023
The Future Ready Event for Seniors held on October 10th and 12th!
CIF Expectation and Standards of Sportsmanship
The following are expectations for all spectators’ conduct to promote positive sportsmanship:
All parents, guardians, and supporters will conduct themselves in a positive sportsman-like manner with the shared understanding that interscholastic competitions should be played in a safe environment which promotes learning and growth for all student-athletes. Negative remarks, vulgar language, and unwarranted physical interaction are direct violations of positive sportsmanship and could result in the following:
- Removal at Competition
- Inability to attend future competitions for all or a portion of the season
- Trespass admonishment and inability to attend all future competitions
The following are guidelines for all spectators to promote positive sportsmanship:
- Spectators will respect all coaches, umpires/officials, administrators, and other spectators
- Do not engage in physical or verbal intimidation or abuse toward any player, official, umpire, coach, school official, or spectator
- Spectators must always remain off the playing surface including halftime
- Respect all facilities and equipment
- Spectators should remain in their designated seating section
- Comply with any directives from facility supervisors, administrators, and/or event staff.
- Spectators will cheer for their team in a positive manner
- Do not use disparaging remarks towards the other team(s)
Spectators will:
- Not use artificial noisemakers
- Remain fully clothed
- Not throw any objects into the stands or onto the event surface
