All returning players (girls & boys) and new players are welcome. Sign-ups will open on the student webstory on May 1st - sign up early to secure your spot.
This camp will also serve as an alternative to tryouts and better enable coaches to evaluate players and determine their rosters for the 2024-2025 school year.

Graduates Report at 5 p.m. As a reminder, graduates will be reporting to the gym at 5 pm to line up for the ceremony. They should be dressed in cap and gown. (No spike heels on the stadium turf.) Graduates will not be allowed to bring cell phones, purses, cameras, leis, etc. into the ceremony. Only school-sponsored and approved sashes and cords are allowed to be worn with the cap and gown. Plan on a meeting place with your parents prior to arriving for Graduation. Leave your phone, purse, cameras, etc with your parents for after the ceremony. Leis purchased from the Instrumental Music Boosters will be allowed to be worn in the ceremony.
Important: Seniors will be searched prior to marching into the stadium. Leave all personal belongings at home (i.e. sunglasses, purses, cell phones, keys, and cameras). Because students will not have access to their phones during the ceremony, plan on a meeting spot with family for when the ceremony concludes.
Dress Code- Please dress semi-formal. Guidelines: Closed toe shoes, long pants, shirts w/ collar, skirts or dresses, and no flip-flops (do not wear high heels that will sink into the turf).
Decoration of Caps - Guidelines: Seniors are permitted to decorate their caps. All decorations should be school-appropriate, acknowledging the solemnity of the graduation ceremony. Inappropriate caps will be checked and replaced with a plain cap.
Cords/Sashes- Only school sponsored groups with the approval from administration can wear cords or sashes. No novelty (money, candy, etc) leis will be allowed to be worn during the ceremony. Flower leis are regarded as cultural regalia and are permitted if purchased from the band boosters.
Guest Arrival- Gates to the stadium will be open at 5 p.m. If you plan to arrive early, you may use a personal umbrella for shade until the ceremony starts. Water and drinks will be available for purchase from the stadium snack bar. To enter, you must have a ticket. Tickets are being distributed to the graduates after graduation practice on May 29th.
Parking- Available on campus beginning at 3:30 p.m. on May 30th. The parking spots in front of the 800 building are reserved for the Board members, PTSA auction winners, and dignitaries. Please feel free to park in or on the parking structure and any lots on the campus, or along Mustang Run. We encourage you to carpool; parking is limited.
Seating- There is no assigned seating for the ceremony. You are welcome to bring a “bleacher seat” as our bleachers do not have back rests. Please don’t bring ice chests, chairs, E-Z Ups, megaphones, or noisemakers as we have over 600 students graduating and our stands will be filled to capacity.
Handicap Accessible Seating and Parking- We have limited handicap accessible seating available on both sides of the stadium. Each handicapped person is able to have one guest sit with them in a chair that will be provided. If the parking lot is full and you need a handicap seat in the stadium, please tell a parking attendant and you will be allowed drop off access in front of the stadium. We cannot guarantee handicap parking; only drop off access after the lot is full.
Graduation Photographer- A graduation photographer has been booked to take pictures of seniors as they receive their diplomas. These photos will be made available directly to parents by mail after the commencement.
Ceremony Livestream- The commencement ceremony will be available to view live if you or loved ones are unable to attend. A link will be created and provided as we get closer to the ceremony.

________________________________________________________________________________
All seniors must meet all SVUSD graduation requirements in order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. I encourage you to monitor your senior’s grades carefully during this important part of the school year. Any failure of a required course will automatically prevent a student from participating in the Graduation Ceremony.
Seniors must follow all school policies up through and including graduation. All financial and disciplinary obligations, as well as attendance at all mandatory graduation practices, must be fulfilled or participation in senior activities including the Graduation Ceremony, will be jeopardized.
Demerit Recovery and Graduation
In order to avoid jeopardizing participation in senior activities and the Graduation Ceremony, all senior students must have resolved all discipline consequences. If there are any questions regarding behavior contracts or any outstanding discipline consequences, students should follow up with an Assistant Principal of Supervision. Each hour of discipline consequences equals 1 demerit. Any senior student with demerits on their record must serve all assigned hours until their demerits equal ZERO (0) before they will be allowed to attend Prom, participate in any senior activities, or Graduation Ceremony. A schedule of assigned hours of discipline consequences along with the intended days to serve must be arranged with the Supervision Office immediately.
Senior Pranks
Please note this word of caution about “senior pranks.” Some of our students in the past without any disciplinary history have participated in a senior prank that resulted in lost opportunities and privileges. There is no such thing as a safe senior prank. Consequences could include loss of senior activities and may jeopardize participation in the Graduation Ceremony. If you become aware of such a plan, please inform the school and do not allow your senior to participate. Students should never be on school grounds outside of school hours for any reason other than official school business or activities.
Please help your senior make good choices to ensure their participation in all senior activities and the Graduation Ceremony.
Suspensions and Expulsions
Be advised that the Saddleback Valley Unified School District has a strict policy against the use or possession of drugs, alcohol, and weapons, and any other expellable offenses outlined by the California Education Code. Please note that if a student commits ANY expellable offense and is recommended for expulsion, they will be excluded from Prom, ALL senior activities, extra-curricular activities, and the Graduation Ceremony during the expulsion. Any student that is suspended and/or placed on a behavior contract for violations such as drug/alcohol possession or use, bullying or harassment, committing an obscene act, and possession of a weapon or dangerous object, within the last 45 days of school will not be able to attend prom, senior activities, and may be excluded from the Graduation Ceremony.
Behavior Expectations for the Graduation Ceremony
Students attempting to disrupt the integrity and grace of the Graduation Ceremony will be removed during the ceremony immediately.
Your support in discussing the importance of maintaining appropriate behavior through the end of the year as well as the severity of consequences for violating our behavior expectations is greatly appreciated and can ensure a positive experience during this exciting time for your family.
We want to ensure that all of our graduating seniors have the memorable experience of participating in their High School Graduation and your support is greatly appreciated.
I look forward to seeing you at graduation on May 30th.
