Cruz is an incredible model of resilience, perseverance, and leadership. On May 24, 2022, Cruz was in a head on car collision and suffered multiple injuries that left him fighting for his life. THHS Mathematics Department honors Students of the Month!
Isabella is highly motivated to succeed in math and in her high school career. She is always willing to help her group and friends in class while having a smile on her face. She is kind to her classmates and all the med-sci teachers adore her. Isabella takes advantage of all the opportunities here at THHS to help her achieve her goal of being a pediatrician. Mrs. Chin and her Med-Sci teachers are honored to have her as a student.
Sydney is an dream student in the classroom. She is intelligent, hard working, passionate, and caring. She has an exemplary work ethic and genuinely tries her best in everything she is an inspiration to everyone she meets. Mrs. Rezner is blessed to have her as a student and knows her classroom would not be the same without Sydney. She is a joy!
Shyla came to our school from Florida. While getting adjusted to the school, culture and climate, she has demonstrated great resolved and perseveres. While math has been a course she struggled with in the pass, she has risen to the occasion by scoring in the top 5% of the class when it comes to the quizzes and test. Her willingness to overcome life difficulties shows stronger character in this young women who deserve to be student of the month.
DJ is an exceptional student. He has a genuine curiosity to learn new things and a drive to expand his own understanding. He is eager to learn and understand how concepts unfold and build upon each other. DJ regularly finishes tasks early and when he does, he asks for challenge problems to help him to make connections beyond that which is expected in Algebra 1. He shows an incredible understanding both of the concept itself and how it applies to more complex applications. While striving for his own success, DJ never hesitates to collaborate with his peers and to help those who may be struggling. He helps to bring up his fellow classmates by diligently working with those around him to help them better understand the material and discover the same connections that he sees every day. All in all, Mrs. DeFrancesca and Ms. Harrison are honored to have DJ in their class.
