Principal's Message
Mustang Families,
This week, we begin our CAASPP testing for juniors, with the Science and English assessments taking place. These important tests are designed to measure students’ progress and readiness for college and careers. Next week, we’ll move on to the Math assessments. To accommodate the testing schedule, all students will follow a special block schedule.
Last weekend, our Mustangs showcased their remarkable talents in a variety of events! The Boys Volleyball team competed in a tournament in La Jolla, the Chamber Choir performed at the Bonita Invitational, Drumline advanced to the semifinals, and several of our Track athletes represented Trabuco at the Chandler Rotary Invitational in Arizona. We are incredibly proud of our students and their dedication to excellence.
Additionally, don’t miss our one-act plays this Thursday and Friday in the theatre – it's a wonderful opportunity to support our talented performers!
We are continually inspired by the passion and hard work of our students. Congratulations to all of our programs, and thank you for your ongoing support!
Ms. Alicia Foulk
Principal

CAASPP
Dear Mustang Students and Parents,
This week is state testing!
It is important for all students to give their best efforts on these tests for the following reasons:
- All students who make progress or perform Proficient or Advanced on the exams, will participate in a special time of celebration their senior year.
- The release of CAASPP information will not affect a student's application for college admissions. Students can choose to have their CAASPP scores be used for California Community Colleges (CCC) and California State Universities (CSU) to determine appropriate placement in college-level courses. Students will have the opportunity to select "release" to provide this information to these institutions in the last question on each test.
- If your child is a candidate for the State Seal of Biliteracy, they must also pass the California Assessment of English Performance and Progress (CAASPP) or any successor test, administered in grade eleven, at or above the "standard met" achievement level.
- CAASPP scores are calculated into our overall school score and ranking which colleges consider when selecting applicants. Scores can be a determining factor of maintaining our high-achieving reputation as well as help determine disbursement of funds depending on strengths and needs.
From Monday, March 24 until Friday, April 4, all Trabuco Hills High School Juniors will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the California Science Test (CAST) in their English, Math, and Science classes. The test will be administered inside the bell schedule during class time.
All other students will be following the bell schedule below and attending all classes as they normally would.
All Juniors will need to bring their school-assigned, fully charged Chromebook and personal wired headphones for testing each day. Wireless headphones will not be permitted. Please be sure students are on time for class each day, are well-rested, and have eaten breakfast.
Please be sure to have your student check to ensure their Chromebook is up-to-date (Instructions here).
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students do their very best.

Scholarship Opportunity
Uzair Qureshi was diagnosed with pediatric cancer in 2013 and courageously fought a two-year battle before passing away during his junior year. As a passionate lover of learning, a scholarship is given to graduating seniors pursuing higher education in his memory. We would be thrilled for a Trabuco Hills student to have the chance to apply. The deadline is April 6th.
