Principal's Message
Today is Monday, December 12, 2022.
Our World Language department hosted their final “World Cup Mania” event on Friday, with sandwiches, baguettes, and Bueche de noel. The competition continues though, so be on the lookout for our students and staff that end up with winning brackets as competition ends next week!
Our Instrumental Music program hosted their winter concert last Thursday evening, and our Off the Wall hosted Tartuffe on Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow night, at 7 PM, our Unified Arts program will be performing its annual production of “A Christmas Carol.” Please join us at 7PM. Be sure to purchase tickets for Monday, December 19th to hear our choir perform at The Bridge as well.
Our athletic signing day is this week on the 14th in the stadium at snack. Photos and recognition will be included in next week’s newsletter.
This week is our Winter Spirit Week. ASB is hosting a canned food drive all week, and each day has a dress up theme. Be sure to come out and show your spirit!
I would like to congratulate the three THHS students that successfully completed the STEAM Race to Space Reading Challenge: Logan Fulford, Anum Ghulamali, and Madelyn Perez. Thank you for participating this year, and I hope you enjoy your prize pack.
With only a week before semester finals, we hope students are able to finish this fall semester strong!
Have a wonderful week,
Ms. Alicia Foulk
Principal

School Choice Intra-District Transfer
The School Choice Intra-District Transfer is the process for SVUSD residents who want to transfer their student to another school within SVUSD. This includes students who receive Special Education Services in Specialized Programs
Secondary School Choice application window is from January 9, 2023 through January 27, 2023.
This is for incoming 7th - 12th grade students for the 2023-2024 School Year
All schools are open
- School Choice Intra-District Transfer only applies to students who live within the Saddleback Valley Unified School District attendance boundaries. Requests for placement will not be done on a first-come, first-serve basis, instead will be approved using an unbiased random Lottery selection process and only if space is available at the school requested. This is the only process in which to request a transfer from your school of residence.
- If you live outside of the SVUSD you will need to apply for an Inter-District Transfer from your resident district.
- Please complete one application per student.
- Students may request a 1st and 2nd choice of schools.
- Once the application is approved the choice school will become your school of residence throughout 9-12 grade. The district is unable to hold a space for your student at more than one school. Please give this consideration before submitting a School Choice Intra-District Transfer application.
- IF YOUR STUDENT IS NOT CURRENTLY ATTENDING SCHOOL IN SVUSD you will need to attach a current electric, gas, water bill or a rental/mortgage statement which clearly indicates your current address. (Your application will not be processed without this.
Secondary (entering grades 7-12) Notification: Status letters will be mailed home on March 3, 2023. Secondary applications will be approved or denied. No waitlist will be established.
If you have further questions, you may email us at student.transfers@svusd.org.
