Please be sure to scroll through the entire site today. We have updated our student of the month recipients, honoring CTE students this week, and several athletes of the week as well.

During the holiday, our Marching Unit took top honors at the WBA state championship. They earned the Grand Champion Title on Sunday, 11/20.

Our boys and girls cross country teams also finished the season strong, placing 4th and 10th at the State Championship in Division 1. Congratulations to all our runners.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Our campus Red Cross Club will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive in the MPR on Tuesday, November 29 from 8:00am until roughly 2:00pm.

Last year, during our fall and spring blood drives, we had 125 total donors -- 97 of whom were first-time donors! With the successful donations collected, the pints collected from our two 2021-2022 blood drives had the potential to save up to 375 lives.

Beginning at 8:00am on Tuesday, November 29th, student donors who are on our sign-up list will receive call slips to come to the MPR to donate during their time slot. Students may sign up at the Red Cross table in the Quad.

Please be aware that the time commitment for a donation is roughly a 45- to 60-minute process since there are typically several steps involved in making sure the donor is able to successfully donate as well as a brief recovery period to ensure the student feels well post-donation.

Red Cross Club volunteers will do their best to limit class disruptions while ensuring that students are escorted to the MPR when it is their turn.

The need for whole blood donations is critical.  Students who sign up to donate and the student volunteers who will be helping will be reminded to check in with their teachers in advance about content that they will need to complete from missed classes.

Architecture & Design

The THHS architecture and engineering design students visited Saddleback Community College as part of USD CTE Department Event.

Students visited the brand new Advanced Technology and Applied Building (ATAS Building) at Saddleback College. They participated in small workshops at the CNC, 3D Printing, Electronics/ Robotics, and Graphics Labs and met with the Automotive Technology Staff at the courtyard.  It was a great opportunity for students to have a glimpse of some of the opportunities and careers available for them once they finish high school!
