Principal's Message

Mustang Families,

As we head into a busy and exciting week at Trabuco Hills, there is a lot to look forward to both in and out of the classroom.

On Monday, we will host our Site Council meeting in the afternoon, cheer on Boys Soccer at home against Beckman, and welcome our junior families to Junior Parent Night in the MPR. Tuesday brings Senior Photos during Flex, along with home competitions for Girls Water Polo and Girls Soccer. School spirit will be front and center on Wednesday with our Got Spirit Rally during Flex, followed by a home Boys Basketball game that evening. The momentum continues Thursday with Girls Water Polo and Girls Basketball competing at home, and on Friday our Girls Water Polo team heads to the Ocean View Tournament while Boys Soccer takes on Capo Valley in the evening. We are also excited to support our Competitive Cheer team as they compete in the USA SoCal Regional on Saturday.

Please note that there will be no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We are also proud to share some outstanding news from College Board. Trabuco Hills High School has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll, earning Bronze distinction. This recognition reflects our continued commitment to building a strong college-going culture and expanding access to rigorous coursework. We are especially proud that 45% of our seniors took at least one AP exam, 37% earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one exam, and 21% challenged themselves by taking five or more AP exams during high school. Congratulations to our students, teachers, and families for this collective achievement, and thank you for continuing to support our Mustangs as we stay on pace together.

Trabuco Hills High School Earns 2025 AP® School Honor Roll – Bronze Distinction

College Board has announced that Trabuco Hills High School has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement® (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning Bronze distinction. This recognition highlights schools whose AP programs are delivering strong results for students while continuing to broaden access and participation.

The AP School Honor Roll reflects a school’s commitment to building a college-going culture, expanding opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. We are proud to share that at Trabuco Hills High School, 45% of seniors took at least one AP Exam during high school, 37% of seniors earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 21% of seniors took five or more AP Exams.

“AP gives students opportunity to engage with college-level work, earn college credit and placement, and build professional career skills they can use no matter what path they choose after high school,” said Trevor Packer, head of the AP program. “Congratulations to this year’s AP School Honor Roll recipients for proving it’s possible to expand participation in these rigorous courses and still drive strong performance.”

College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program enables students to pursue college-level studies in 40 subjects while still in high school. Each course culminates in a challenging exam and helps students develop critical thinking, strong argumentation, and the ability to consider multiple perspectives—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.

Congratulations to our students, teachers, and families on this well-earned recognition.

Winter Formal February 28

The THHS ASB is proud to announce their upcoming 2026 Winter Formal themed "Once Upon a Winter Formal."  For this celebration, the theme will be based on childhood fairy tales.

The THHS Winter Formal dance and festival will take place on February 28, 2026 at the Executive Hangar at the Fullerton Airport.  The venue is spacious and provides enough room for many fun and exciting activities.  An expansive outdoor area will host carnival rides and lounge seating.  On the inside of the Executive Hangar, students can enjoy a dessert bar, a live DJ with an area for dance along with the latest technology in entertainment lighting and special effects.  Picture opportunities will also be provided that will play along with our themed event.  Students can also take a break from the dancing and the rides in the student lounge area and full arcade with stand-up arcade machines along with other interactive games.

Our Winter Formal will be from 7 PM - 10 PM and we are proud to offer the benefits of a large outdoor space for rides and entertainment along with an indoor space that has room for the other fun activities planned for the evening.  Tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 12, 2026 on the webstore or in person at the student store on campus.
