Principal's Message

Mustang Families,

Welcome to our weekly newsletter! We hope this new format provides everyone a more streamlined way to view all the news, events, and happenings at THHS each week.

Of note today are some sports highlights from last week. Our volleyball team ended their CIF run against Saugus. They played with an incredible amount of heart and we are so proud of them and their season! Our football team also had their final league game last Friday when they faced El Toro, coming away with a victory. This Friday they face San Jacinto at HOME at 7 pm. Please note that all attendees must purchase tickets for this game. The ASB card does not provide entry for CIF playoffs.

Our incredible marching band will be performing on Wednesday night at LHHS as part of the annual band fest. Please join us!

Have a wonderful week,

Ms. Alicia Foulk

Principal

Trabuco Hills IB: Spotlight

Jonathan Daoud is this year's IB t-shirt designer. Ever since he heard about the possibility for senior IB students to design the t-shirt during his junior year, he immediately knew that he wanted to create his own design. Being a fan of music, along with many other people, his first idea was to make a music themed t-shirt. T-shirts of rock bands are very common to see around campus, which was a factor that motivated him to take inspiration from rock bands' logos. Furthermore, he wanted this t-shirt to be one that both students and teachers would like. Therefore, he took many recommendations from his classmates and teachers to come up with the perfect design. He created a lot of designs before he finally arrived at the one that got the most positive feedback: the ACDC style t-shirt. Thank you Jonathan for your lending your talents to our 2022-2023 IB Shirts!

Unified Sports

Special Olympics is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. That makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sport in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away.

Trabuco Hills Unified Sports meets every Tuesday at lunch to play Unified Basketball, Unified Flag Football, Unified Kickball, and Unified Soccer.

This Tuesday is Unified Basketball in the gym. We would love for you to come play or just watch a great game!
