Principal's Message

Mustang Families,

Welcome to our newly-revised weekly newsletter page! We hope this new format provides everyone a more streamlined way to view all the news, events, and happenings at THHS each week. We will send an email each week linking to this page once it is updated for the week. You will see the bell schedules for the week, any highlights, upcoming events, the mindful Monday video, and lots of links. Most links will take you directly to the corresponding page on our website with the information. It is our hope that as our website continues to become more robust with information, you will find it as a place where you can get all your questions answered.

Of note today are some sports highlights from last week. Our girl’s volleyball continues their CIF run as they defeated Crean Lutheran on Saturday. They face Saugus on Wednesday. Please wish them luck! Our football team also has their final league game this Friday against El Toro.

We also had our first choir and band concerts of the year last week. Comedy Sportz will be hosting its first match this year on Thursday night.

Have a wonderful week,

Ms. Alicia Foulk

Principal

THHS Future Ready: October 26th & 27th

THHS Future Ready 2022

The Trabuco Hills High School Guidance Team is happy to announce that we will be hosting a college application event in partnership with OCDE! Our event is called Future Ready and will be held (during the school day) on October 26th and 27th!

Our seniors will have the opportunity to take part in our Future Ready campaign taking place during the school day on October 26th and October 27th. This event is designed to help both seniors and parents through the college application process and will hopefully ease some of the stress that comes along with it!

During this event, all seniors will be walked through the Saddleback application process and get help on starting their financial aid applications!  That means that all seniors will have started the Promise Program initial steps, whether it is their 1st choice or their back up choice! YAY!!!!!

To be most adequately prepared for these applications, it will be helpful for them to complete a CCC Apply Account and FSA ID. The FSA ID will be needed to start and sign the FAFSA. Both students and parents should have an FSA ID! An FSA ID will not be needed for the CADA.

Remember!!! Money for college comes in many forms! In addition to state and federal financial aid, your senior may qualify to receive one or more college/university-specific scholarships, grants or more! Filing a financial aid application is the first step toward college success and opens the door to so much opportunity!

On day 2 of our event, all seniors will have the option of attending one workshop of their choice!

The Senior workshops offered on day 2:

  • Cal State Apply

  • UC Application

  • Common Application

  • Saddleback Matriculation and Counseling 100 Enrollment

  • Military Career Opportunities

  • Trade School Information

On Saturday, October 15, in the thunder, lightning, and pouring rain, after moving indoors, and standing in place, the Trabuco Hills Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit showed how amazing they are in the face of adversity and as musicians. Exhausted and wet, they stood tall and preformed with pride and courage.

They came away with every award of the night including Tournament Champion!

More importantly they showed their strength and resiliency and made us all MUSTANG proud!
