THHS SENIOR Information Letter

Graduation and Senior Brunch Tryouts


Are you interested in performing or speaking at graduation or Senior Brunch?

Try-out in the ASB Rm 300

Speech- May 9th at Snack & Lunch

Speeches can be individual or up to 2 people

(Need to Incorporate Theme) 1 person=1 minute time limit

2 people=1.5 minute time limit

(Note: Valedictorian is the only one who does not need to try out)

Entertainment- May 16th at Snack & Lunch

(Guitar, song, skit, comedy, etc. Need to incorporate theme) individual or groups up to 5

Commencement Tickets: Each senior will receive six tickets for the graduation ceremony. Additional tickets (up to 2 more tickets per student) can be requested through the senior students’ webstore May 11th- June 1st. Note: There is no guarantee of additional tickets.

It is strongly recommended that students who may need additional tickets ask friends/students for any extra tickets not being used.

Yearbook Distribution- June 1st- Modified Double Assembly Schedule

Saturday, June 2nd 8:00pm-11:00pm- Prom- Prom will be held at the Nixon Library. There will be a live N-Effects DJ, swing band, photo booth, dessert bar, and breathtaking gardens.

Senior Final Exam Schedule Week- TDB

Monday, June 11th- Senior Awards Night at 6pm

Seniors who are invited to Senior Awards Night should report to the gym at 5:45pm.

Tuesday, June 12th- Senior Outing (5:30-10:30pm)

Senior Dinner and Dance Cruise cost is $80 w/ASB, $90 w/out ASB. Payment is due to the student store by May 25th. Webstore purchase is also available (click on the shopping cart on the right side of the Trabuco Hills website). Students will enjoy a 2.5 hour evening dinner and dance cruise aboard the Endless Dreams, a 145 foot Hornblower yacht in Newport Harbor. Students need to check in at 5:30pm. Busses will depart at 5:45pm from THHS. The permission slip is available online or in the student store and needs to be returned to the student store by June 1st. Students will be able to select a bus with their friends, provided they sign up early. This special event includes: transportation, soda bar, buffet dinner, DJ with dancing, and an open air sundeck to watch the sunset. Seniors only and no guests. (Approx. return time to THHS is 10pm)

Tuesday, June 12th - Graduation Practice & Cap and Gown Distribution: 8:30am

Seniors should report to the gym at 8:30am for orientation and graduation practice. Student name pronunciation and correct names will be checked for inclusion into the graduation ceremony.

Cap and Gown Distribution

Caps and gowns will be distributed at graduation practice for those seniors whose financial, service and discipline obligations are clear.

If you didnʼt order a cap and gown, they will be sold for $50 (CASH ONLY).

Wednesday, June 13th - Graduation Practice & Ticket Distribution

Students should meet in the gym at 8:30am. Line up order will be determined, followed by a graduation walk through.

Ticket Distribution- Six graduation tickets will be distributed to seniors as they exit the practice.

Wednesday, June 13th- Senior Brunch $15 with ASB and $20 without ASB and $20 at the door. Celebrate graduation with your senior class in the MPR after graduation practice. Submit pictures to to have your pictures in the senior slideshow by June 1st. Buy your Senior Brunch ticket through the webstore by June 8th.

Thursday, June 14th - Commencement Ceremony

Commencement will be held at 7:30pm in the THHS Stadium. Admission will be by ticket only. Seniors should report to the GYM by 6:30pm in caps and gowns.

Important: Seniors will be searched prior to marching into the stadium. Leave all personal belongings at home (i.e. sunglasses, purses, flowers of any kind, cell phones, keys, and cameras).

Dress Code: Please dress semi-formal

Guidelines: Closed toe shoes, long pants, shirts w/ collar, skirts or dresses, and no flip-flops (avoid high heels that will sink into the turf).

Graduation Photographer: A graduation photographer has been booked to take pictures of seniors as they receive their diplomas. These photos will be made available directly to parents by mail after the commencement. Personal photos may be taken following the ceremony.

Diploma Pick-up: Diplomas will be distributed following Graduation on the football field by the long jump pit.

Friday, June 15th- Grad Nite 2018- (Disneyland & Disney CA Adventure/undisclosed THHS only after party)

Grad Night - June 15, 2018, check-in at the Main Gym area 12pm

Destination Off‐campus (Disneyland & Disney CA Adventure/undisclosed THHS only after party) 12 pm to 6-7am

Tickets available on webstore/or by dropping of a check or cash in the student store.

PTSA sponsored- Flyer online or in student store.

Ticketing Price: $240 or $245 online; season passholders with no blackout dates $140 or $145 online [After June 5th CASH ONLY.]

Ticket availability in June based on bus space available.

Transportation: Bus check in time 12pm in front of main gym.

Return Time 6 AM, June 16th in front of admin office

Students may NOT drive and park at the school.They must be picked up the next morning.

Student Dress: Bring layers! Casual clothing, pants, jacket, for inside or possible outside night time weather. School dress code will apply. Meal Provisions Dinner, snacks, breakfast and drinks will be provided. Students may bring money if students wants to purchase additional items at Disney. PTSA not responsible for lost or stolen money.

IMPORTANT DETAILS! Students MUST bring student ID or they will not be allowed to board bus – NO REFUND will be given! No backpacks, purses, drugs, alcohol or tobacco products allowed. Bring any necessary personal items in a small ziplock baggie.

ALL students go through a security pat down prior to boarding buses. PTSA is not responsible for lost items including cell phones and money.

Additional Items

Jostens Cap & Gown: Jostens will also have gowns available for purchase at delivery on June 13th. The cost will be $50 cash.

Announcements: Announcement orders will be delivered April 25th. Jostens has extra custom announcements available for purchase ONLINE, so if you missed the deadline, you can still purchase them until they run out. Name cards and other fine paper items are also available.

Senior Jewelry: Class Rings, Bracelets, Tags and Sarah Chloe jewelry items are still available for purchase. Visit to design your exclusive 2018 jewelry item. Most orders ship within 5 weeks. There is no deadline for these items.

Letterman Jackets: If you are interested in purchasing a letterman jacket, please call Josten’s office at 949.285.6247. They have a new retail walk-in location at 27762 Forbes Road #7, Laguna Niguel. Call for store hours.

Discipline Obligations: The last Saturday School for seniors will be June 9th. Students with outstanding disciplinary obligations will not be able to walk in the graduation ceremony. Seniors need to have zero (0) demerits to be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. In addition, graduation tickets will not be issued to seniors with outstanding disciplinary obligations.

The final Loss of Privileges list for 2018 will be posted on May 7th. Seniors with 6 or more demerits will be placed on this list and not be permitted to participate in senior activities until they clear all demerits.

Seniors who are placed on a behavior contract for drugs, alcohol, or weapons will not be able to walk at graduation if the offense occurs after April 11th. An offense that occurs before that date will require the student to follow the guidelines in the behavior contract to “earn- back” the ability to walk in the graduation ceremony.

Seniors Donʼt Get Caught Up In a Senior Prank: If a student is caught being involved in a senior prank, consequences can include; no awards night, no prom, no senior outing, no grad tickets, no walking at graduation, no grad nite! And a very expensive bill to clean or repair the campus.

Debts Cleared: All debts, including lost textbooks, library fines, sports and extracurricular commitments must be cleared by June 8th or sooner. Tickets will not be distributed if there is any outstanding debt. All library debts must be paid in CASH ONLY by Thursday, June 7th or sooner. Tickets will not be issued to seniors with fines owed. Fines must be paid with CASH ONLY.

Message for Mid-Year Graduates: If you are planning on participating in senior week activities, remember that it is your responsibility to meet ticket deadlines and necessary rehearsals.
