February 2^nd - March 13^th

9^th – 12^th Graders who are designated as ML (multi-lingual learner) students will test in the MPR during the regular bell schedule.

As always, school attendance is extremely important for student success and performance throughout this testing period. Students should be encouraged to get a good night’s rest and eat a nutritious breakfast prior to testing each day. Breakfast and snack items will be available before school as well as during snack and lunch.

This test is designed to test listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. It is HIGHLY recommended for you to explore the practice tests on the ELPAC Online Practice and Training Tests web page so you can become familiar with the platform and setup of the test.

Results will be available at or before the beginning of the next school year. Test results will identify areas where your child is doing well or needs more help, so you can better support their learning at home and teachers can better support their learning in the classroom. Additionally, the results will help determine if you student is ready to reclassify and will no longer need the ELPAC.

Los estudiantes de 9 a 12 grado que estén designados como estudiantes ML (aprendices multilingües) realizarán la prueba en el MPR durante el horario regular de campana.

Como siempre, la asistencia a la escuela es extremadamente importante para el éxito y el desempeño de los estudiantes durante este período de pruebas. Se debe alentar a los estudiantes a que descansen bien por la noche y coman un desayuno nutritivo antes de los exámenes de cada día. PSAT Information for MVHS

WHAT:

The PSAT/NMSQT is for interested 10th and 11th grade students. This is a practice SAT exam that measures students' knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math which are skills that are needed to succeed in college and career. In addition, by taking the PSAT/NMSQT as a junior, students may meet the requirements to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program which is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

By taking the PSAT/NMSQT, you can:

• Understand your skills and knowledge, and which areas to focus on improving.
• Measure academic progress and track your improvement over time.
• Set a target score and prepare for the digital SAT.
• Have an opportunity to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program.

WHEN:

• Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (Main Testing Date)
• Wednesday, October 28, 2025 from 1:45 p.m.-4:45 p.m. (Make-up Testing Date)

WHERE:

On campus at Mission Viejo High School (signs on campus will be posted on test day)

HOW TO SIGN UP:

Step 1: 10th and 11th grade students should use the link below to sign up for the PSAT and indicate which test date they prefer. https://forms.gle/eVeB7R4mgXFNbDkx6

Step 2: Students will need to purchase the exam via the student store online and pay $35.00. In the webstore, search for PSAT.

The deadline to pay for the exam is Friday, September 23, 2026.
