ACT and SAT
To Register for the SAT or SAT II please log onto the College Board website
SAT: It is recommended that students take the SAT during the spring semester of grade 11, or the fall semester of grade 12.
SAT II Subject Tests: Some universities highly recommend or require subject tests. Please visit the website of your specific university to verify.
To Register for the ACT please log onto the ACT website
ACT: It is recommended that students take the ACT during the spring of grade 11 or during the fall of grade 12

Mission Viejo High School
2025 AP Exam Information
Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be administered May 5th, 2025 through May 16th, 2025. Exams are only available for MVHS students who are currently enrolled in the specific AP course.
AP exams are now available for purchase. We have again partnered with and will be utilizing our online service, Total Registration. Students will purchase exams and request refunds (if needed) directly through Total Registration.
We have already set up the MVHS Total Registration site. Please use this link for your convenience.
- The cost of an exam is $110 each.
- The deadline to purchase without incurring a $40 late fee is November 11th.

- The MVHS website has been updated with the Total Registration link to purchase as well as all the exam schedules and information.
It is important that ALL students join their MyAP classroom, regardless if you are planning to purchase an exam. This will give students the flexibility to purchase an exam later as well as access to helpful resources and information pertaining to their AP classes.
For your reference, we have attached a Joining myAP Instructional Flyer for students on how to join their myAP classroom. If you are still needing your MyAP classroom join code, please contact your teachers directly.

CAASPP

11th grade only
ALL 11th grade students will take both the English Language Arts and Math tests during their English Classes.
As always, school attendance is extremely important for student success and performance throughout this testing period. CAST
March 11th -March 25th
ALL 11th Graders will test during their English classes .

February 27th - March 6th
9th – 12th Graders will test in the MPR during the regular bell schedule.

PSAT
PSAT NOW ON SALE!
WHAT:
The PSAT/NMSQT for interested 10th and 11th grade students. By taking the PSAT/NMSQT as a junior, students may meet the requirements to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program which is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. College board has transitioned the PSAT from paper to digital testing. Please see use the following link to see the video: “What to expect with the digital PSAT”
With the PSAT/NMSQT, you can:
- Understand your skills and knowledge and which areas to focus on improving.
- Measure academic progress, and track your improvement over time.
- Set a target score, and prepare for the digital SAT.

- Get AP course recommendations.

HOW TO SIGN UP:
Step 1: 10th and 11th grade students should use this PSAT Google Form to sign up and indicate which test date they prefer.
Step 2: Students will need to purchase the exam via the student store online and pay $35.00. The deadline to pay for the exam is Friday, August 30, 2024.

El PSAT/NMSQT está dirigido a estudiantes de décimo y undécimo grado interesados.
