Enrollment Procedures
*Students must live within the MVHS boundaries to enroll unless they have an approved transfer on file.
Step 1 - Verify
- Verify your address via the SVUSD School Locator
Step 2 - Collect the following documents:
- Proof of Residence – Two current Gas, Electric, or Water bills in the parent or guardian’s name.
- McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Services
- If the bills are not in the parent or guardian’s name, a Co-Residency Affidavit Form is required.
- Student’s Birth Certificate
- Student’s Immunization Record
- Printout of the completed Online Enrollment -AIR (Step 1)
- Current Transcript or Grade Report
- Guardianship or Caregiver Affidavit Form – If the student is not living with their parent(s).
- Withdrawal form from the previous school, if changing schools during the school year.
Step 3 - Schedule
Schedule your enrollment appointment with your Student Services Technicians.

All Freshmen Must Take a Minimum of Six Classes
- English
- Math
- Science
- PE (or athletics, marching band, pep, color guard)
- ELECTIVE*
- ELECTIVE*
*World Language, Visual & Performing Art, Technical Education, or “other” electives.
9th – 11th grades need 6 classes
12th grade need 5 classes
