Dear Mission Viejo High School Parents and Students,

We are happy to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year.  We are excited to share that MVHS is a 2024 California Distinguished School, OC Readers' Choice Award Best of 2020, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Public High School. MVHS is one of three schools in the state of California to have earned the six-time distinction of California Distinguished School award, which is a testament to our exceptional and sustained excellence.

We are proud of our rich history of tradition, positive culture, exceptional academic programs, award-winning performing arts program, and top athletic programs in the country. Our programs, community partnerships, high expectations for all, and strong relationships are some of the reasons that Mission Viejo High School stands out among the best. As Diablos, we strive for excellence each day and follow our Student Learner Outcomes. 

It is important that you know I welcome open communication, value your partnership, and will do all I can to ensure a positive high school experience for your student.  In closing, I encourage you to join our wonderful Parent-Teacher-Student-Organization (PTSO).  We meet the first Tuesday of every month.  A special thank you to our PTSO, Boosters, and parent volunteers for your support, donations, and volunteer work to our many programs.
