Principal's Message

Dear Mission Viejo High School Parents and Students,

We are happy to welcome you back to the 2022-2023 school year.  We are excited to share that MVHS received an award as a 2022 Best High School in U.S. News and World Report! We are ranked #399 out of thousands in the state of California in this prestigious publication.  We are proud of our rich history of tradition, strong culture, exceptional academic programs, award-winning performing arts program, and top athletics programs in the country. In addition, MVHS has a dedicated Agriculture farm lab facility that is home to a unique and award winning Agriculture Education Program. This program continues to expand, with a new Greenhouse featuring industry standard equipment and technology that now makes it possible for students to gain specific career skills and industry training in the field of horticulture.  Our programs, community partnerships, high expectations for all, and strong relationships are some of the reasons that Mission Viejo High School stands out among the best. As Diablos, we strive for excellence each day and follow our Student Learner Outcomes.

It is important that you know I welcome open communication, value your partnership, and will do all I can to ensure a positive high school experience for your student.  In closing, I encourage you to join our wonderful Parent-Teacher-Student-Organization (PTSO).  We meet the first Tuesday of every month.  A special thank you to our PTSO, Boosters, and parent volunteers for your support, donations, and volunteer work to our many programs.

I look forward to an outstanding year.  Go Diablos!

Thank you,   Principal Tricia Osborne
