Principal's Message

   Dear Valencia Families,

It is with pleasure I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. Whether you are a new or returning family, our staff is happy to have you as part of our school community. I am the new principal at Valencia and I am looking forward to meeting our students, as well as working together with teachers and our community to make this a fantastic school year.

As a brief introduction, I am a lifelong resident of Orange County. I began working in Saddleback Valley Unified School District at the age of 18, performing a variety of capacities from custodial to recreation and child care. I have been a teacher and administrator in SVUSD since 1996. I have several family members who have been teachers and administrators, so education is deeply rooted in my soul! I hope you will find I am a personable principal with high expectations for student engagement, innovative teaching practices, and everyone, including adults on campus, treating each other with kindness.

Please feel free to introduce yourself as you see me around campus. I am excited to start this journey and be your partner in education. On behalf of our entire staff, it is an absolute pleasure and HUGE responsibility to take your most prized possession into our care each day. Thank you for your trust, your open mind, and most of all, your support.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sending occasional updates as information accumulates. Eventually, during the school year, it is my plan to send our families a weekly update of happenings and things to come. For additional resources, please visit svusd.org/Valencia where you will be able to access additional useful information, including links for PTA and our school district.

Your Partner in Education,

Mr. Morrow, Principal
