Principal's Message

Winter 2018

Greetings Linda Vista Families,

Happy New Year! The Arts are alive at Linda Vista! Our scholars are engaged in a variety of arts inspired learning experiences. Through the support of our teachers and community volunteers, our scholars are dancing, drawing, painting, performing and experiencing the visual and performing arts.

After studying the works of Antonio Vivaldi, our scholars and families were invited to Laguna Hills High School to see a marching visual and musical performance of Vivaldiā€™s Seasons by the LHHS Marching Band and Color Guard. Families enjoyed watching the Seasons unfold by the hawk marching ensemble in the football stadium.

Our kindergarten through sixth grade musicians dazzled audiences with the sounds of winter in vocal and instrumental music performances under the direction of Mr. Moreau and Ms. Thompson. For many of our youngest scholars, this was the first opportunity of the year to perform for an audience. They were amazing!

On Monday mornings at Linda Vista Elementary School, our scholars have extended learning time where they participate in arts inspired lessons. Scholars of all ages participate in the arts using watercolors, oil pastels, fabrics for sewing, a variety of dance styles, and other media lessons. The arts are alive!

Thank you,

Mrs. McMasters
