Dear Linda Vista Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Linda Vista IB Magnet Elementary! I hope your summer was restful, joyful, and filled with wonderful memories with family and friends. As we begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and discovery, I am thrilled to welcome back our returning scholars and families and extend a warm welcome to those joining our Linda Vista community for the first time.

This year marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our school as we continue our journey as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School. Last year, Linda Vista successfully completed our IB PYP Programme Evaluation (Reauthorization), affirming our commitment to providing a high-quality, inquiry-based education that develops knowledgeable, caring, and internationally minded students. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to building on our success as we continue to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, student agency, and meaningful action in every classroom.

Our commitment to meeting the needs of every learner continues to grow. We are excited to continue our mild/moderate Autism program, providing an inclusive learning environment where all students are supported, challenged, and celebrated. We believe every child has unique strengths, and together we create a school culture where everyone belongs.

The arts continue to be an important part of the Linda Vista experience. This year's Disney Musicals in Schools production will be Disney's Moana! We can't wait to watch our talented students bring this inspiring story of courage, perseverance, and finding your own way to the stage. Through music, dance, and theater, our students will develop confidence, creativity, collaboration, and leadership while creating unforgettable memories.

At Linda Vista, we remain committed to providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and discover their passions. Our exceptional staff partners closely with families to ensure that each student grows academically, socially, and emotionally.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Your partnership is essential to our success, and together we will make this school year one filled with learning, achievement, and celebration.

On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to another amazing year at Linda Vista IB Magnet Elementary. We look forward to learning, growing, and celebrating with you throughout the year!

Warm regards,
Dr. Shannon Wyatt
