Principal's Message

Hello Lake Forest Families!

We are so excited for the 2020-2021 school year!  While I know the school year is not starting our as a typical school year, we can't wait to see all of our Dolphin Families, even if it is virtually. Our first priority is our families' safety and providing rigorous curriculum to our students.  Our teachers are so excited to see all of their new students. It's going to be an amazing school year!

Tuesday, September 29, we will be welcoming back our families who chose our hybrid model.  The hybrid model is broken into two sessions:  AM from 8:30 - 11:00 and PM from 12:00 - 2:30.

My name is Audra Bailey, and I am honored to be the principal at Lake Forest Elementary School. I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. Five years ago we helped our youngest son move to college at the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!) and my husband's job brought us to California. Our oldest daughter  graduated from the University of Arizona and still calls Scottsdale home.

I have been in education for 18 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Post baccalaureate in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Administration. Over the years I have been a classroom teacher, Title I Intervention Specialist, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal.

I believe a school should be a family who works together to make decisions based on what is best for children. Students thrive best in a positive atmosphere and learn through having a growth mindset. Schools should be a fun, safe place where students learn to work hard and persevere through difficult tasks to be prepared for the future.

Mrs. Audra Bailey, M. Ed.
