Principal's Message

Hello Lake Forest Dolphins!

Can you believe the school year is half over?  We have been so busy and have done so many exciting things already this school year.  From the opening of our Innovation Lab, to our student painted STEAM mural, to our Rube Goldberg Machines and Cardboard Challenge.  Not to mention all of the learning and problem solving going on in the classrooms.  I can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds for our students.

My name is Audra Bailey, and I am honored to be the principal at Lake Forest Elementary School. I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. Three years ago we helped our youngest son move to college at the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!) and my husband's job brought us to California. Our oldest daughter just graduated from the University of Arizona and relocated to North Carolina.

I have been in education for 16 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Post baccalaureate in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Administration. Over the years I have been a classroom teacher, Title I Intervention Specialist, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal.

I believe a school should be a family who works together to make decisions based on what is best for children. Students thrive best in a positive atmosphere and learn through having a growth mindset. Schools should be a fun, safe place where students learn to work hard and persevere through difficult tasks to be prepared for the future.

Mrs. Audra Bailey, M. Ed.
