Hello Lake Forest Families!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year.  My name is Caryn McGrew, and I am honored to be serving as the principal at Lake Forest Elementary School.  I have been in SVUSD for 26 years, 15 years as an administrator and 11 years as a teacher.  I am excited to be joining this wonderful school community!  I look forward to meeting all new and returning students and families.

Our staff embraces the SVUSD Mission - SV Connects:  Focusing on equitable, intentional, and engaging practices which provide opportunities for each and every student to be successful.  We are committed to providing a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for ALL students.

We encourage parents to become involved in our school community through School Site Council, PTO, ELAC, and/or volunteer opportunities.  By working together we can help each and every child learn to work hard, persevere, and have a growth mindset.  Every student is unique with their own talents and strengths, and we encourage our students to use these to be successful in their educational journey.
