Kindergarten

• Students may arrive as early as 8:00 AM.
• There are two options for kindergarten drop-off. Kindergarten families may walk their child onto campus OR drive through the carpool line. 
• On the first day of school, families may walk their kindergartener to the classroom (located on the K playground) and pick up their child at the classroom door in the afternoon.
• Starting on the second day of school (Thursday, August 15th), kindergarten families will not be allowed to enter the kindergarten yard with their child(ren). Please, speak with your child Sunday and Monday night ensuring them that school is fun and exciting. Let them know that you will be waiting for them the minute they exit the classroom to hear all the wonderful things that happened throughout the day! As you drop them off on Monday, be all smiles!  They will pick up on your emotions. If you are happy, they will be happy!
• The kindergarten gate closes at 8:15 AM. If your child arrives after 8:15 AM, please walk them to the front office, and one of our staff members will walk your child to their classroom.
• Dismissal is at 2:00 PM. Families may meet their child at the classroom door on the first day of school. Starting Thursday, August 15th, families must wait in the designated areas (sidewalk and fire lane). Teachers will walk their entire class outside.

1st and 6th Grade

• Parents and caregivers may walk their child(ren) to their classroom on the first day of school. Teachers have a lot of preparation to do, so doors will not be open until a couple of minutes before the bell rings. At the end of the day, parents and caregivers may meet their child at their classroom door.
• Starting Thursday, August 15th, students must walk directly to the playground to line up by the teacher and grade level. Visitors will not be allowed to pass the designated waiting areas. Supervisors will be there to help all children find their line. Teachers will meet their class on the blacktop. Students may want to bring a small towel to sit on, a book to read, or a notebook to draw while waiting. No toys or Pokemon cards are allowed.
• Families and caregivers must wait in the designated areas at the end of the day. Students will meet their family or caregiver after school, so please discuss this plan with your child.

Carpool

• We have a 12 CARS IN 12 CARS OUT system.
• Please pull all the way forward to avoid gaps before your child exits the vehicle.
• Pay attention to the adults on supervision who will be directing cars and pedestrians.
• Drivers should remain inside the vehicle at all times. Exiting the car will delay the carpool line and contribute to traffic congestion on Torino Drive.
• For safety, students should exit on the side nearest the sidewalk.

Parking

• We have nearly 100 faculty and staff members. That only leaves us with three public parking spots in our parking lot: two visitor spots and one medical spot.
• Parents may NOT park inside the staff parking lot.
• U-turns are illegal in front of the school campus.
• If you choose to walk onto campus, you may park on the surrounding streets or at Borrego Park (see the streets highlighted in yellow- Torino Dr., Lunette Ave., Estrade Ln., Cabriole, or Espeller Dr. Avoid blocking driveways, parking in red zones, and blocking crosswalks.
• Please be respectful and courteous to our neighbors.

Borrego Park Gate

• Families can drop off at Whiting Ranch area/ behind Ralphs, and students walk up the paved path to the Borrego Park gate.
• The gate is near the back field and immediately next to Borrego Park.
• Many families park at Borrego Park and use the gate connected to the school on the far side near the basketball courts.
• Students in grades 1-6 may enter the school grounds at 8:00 AM through this gate.
• The gate is locked once the bell rings at 8:30 and is reopened a few minutes before dismissal in the afternoon.
• After the first day of school, parents may not enter campus through Borrego Park.

E-bikes/Skateboards

Once on campus, students must walk their bike/skateboard and leave them in the designated area (in front of rooms 9 & 12).
