Safety Guides

Dear Parents:

If you are late picking up your child (15 minutes or more after 2:45 p.m. dismissal), please note...

Students who are waiting outside or at the top of the stairs will be taken to the office to wait for their parents. We are having the students wait in the office for their safety because there is no supervision after 3:00 pm.

So if you are running late, please park your car and come to the office as that is where you will be able to find your child.

Thank you, Mrs. Thomsen

SVUSD Student Wellness Policy Reminder

Notice Regarding the New SVUSD Wellness Policy Elementary School Nutrition Guidelines

The Board of Education of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District has adopted a Student Wellness Policy (Board Policy 5030) which recognizes the link between student health and learning. The policy requires the development of a comprehensive health literacy program designed to build the skills and knowledge that all students need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Board Policy 5030 addresses physical education; health education; nutrition services; health, psychological and counseling services; safe and healthy school environments; and parent/guardian and community involvement. Board Policy 5030 also requires that wellness goals be considered in planning all school activities. In accordance with current state and federal legislation as well as Board Policy 5030, the following nutrition guidelines will be implemented in our elementary schools. Secondary schools have similar guidelines.
