PAWS Program

Positively Respectful

Always Responsible

Will Be Kind

Safety First

We continually reinforce our Positive Behavior Intervention Support system with our “PAWS” program. We begin each year with school-wide assemblies for PAWS expectations as well as anti-bullying strategies and information, as age appropriate. We hold playground rotations to familiarize students with expected PAWS behaviors on the playground and around campus. All staff and students utilize the behavior matrices to know and understand the rules. We speak the same language with the students to keep consistent expectations throughout the campus and provide many opportunities for positive reinforcement. We begin each Friday morning with all-school PAWS assemblies where we recognize positive behaviors, share school news and participate in Cordillera cheers. An active student council plans monthly spirit wear days and all-school sports competitions as well as other fun student and family events throughout the year.
