SVUSD Virtual Academy Class of 2026 Turns Tassels Toward New Opportunities

SVUSD Virtual Academy celebrated the accomplishments of 33 graduates from the Class of 2026 during its commencement ceremony on June 4, honoring a group of students who embraced a personalized approach to learning while pursuing their unique goals and interests.

Throughout their time at SVUSD Virtual Academy, graduates benefited from a flexible educational experience that allowed them to balance academics with athletics, the arts, college coursework, career exploration, and other personal pursuits. Several members of the graduating class also earned scholarships in recognition of their academic achievements and future aspirations.

The ceremony featured remarks from student speakers Benjamin Magtoto, Hannah Hentzel, Alastair Mayer, and Fairoz Saleh, who reflected on their educational journeys, shared lessons learned along the way, and celebrated the friendships and experiences that shaped their high school years. Principal Glenn Giokaris also congratulated the graduating class and encouraged students as they prepared to begin the next chapter of their lives.

SVUSD Virtual Academy provides students with a flexible, accredited educational option that combines virtual learning with opportunities for in-person support, enrichment, and connection. The program allows students to customize their educational experience while remaining connected to the broader Saddleback Valley Unified School District community.

The Class of 2026 demonstrated the many ways students can succeed when given the opportunity to personalize their educational experience. Following graduation, 68% of graduates plan to attend community college, 18% plan to enroll in a four-year university, and 15% plan to enter the workforce.

As graduates turned their tassels and celebrated this important milestone, they reflected the spirit of SVUSD Virtual Academy—students empowered to pursue their passions, achieve their goals, and confidently chart their own course toward the future. The Saddleback Valley Unified School District congratulates the Class of 2026 and looks forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
