Edgenuity Course Syllabus

The SVUSD Math and Science Summer School blends online coursework with teacher support and instruction. Each student is assigned to an SVUSD teacher who will support, monitor, and assess students’ progress as students complete assignments, quizzes and tests in Edgenuity, an online education platform. Students are expected and required to attend class everyday. In addition to the required class time, it is expected that students will spend 2-3 hours daily outside of class working on the online content to complete their course. Students who fall more than 20% behind the content pacing calendar may be dropped from the course with no credit earned.

This course is different than most courses as it allows for greater flexibility and autonomy while students complete the assigned curriculum.  However, the increased autonomy requires increased student responsibility. To be successful in their summer school course it is ESSENTIAL that your student is PRESENT and on-time every day of summer school and that they stay up-to-date with their assignments.  Students who fall more than two days behind may be dropped from the course.
