Enrollment Process

New Student Enrollment

These instructions are for NEW students who have never previously enrolled in an SVUSD school.

Step One

Complete the STUDENT ENROLLMENT REQUEST FORM.

STEP Two

Go to Saddleback Valley Unified School District website to register your student and create a SVUSD account: Aeries Online Enrollment (AIR).

IMPORTANT: To indicate your intent to attend the SVUSD Virtual Academy, instead of selecting the grade your student is entering, select the SVUSD Virtual Academy from the grade level/program dropdown menu. This will ensure your registration is sent to the SVUSD Virtual Academy and not your resident school.

Step Three

Gather the following required documentation:

  • Two proofs of address (current gas, electric or water bill, mortgage statement or lease agreement in parent/guardian's name – phone bills or credit statements cannot be accepted as residency verification)
  • A copy of the student’s current transcript or grade report
  • A copy of the student’s immunization record or yellow immunization card. Please note: effective September 10, 2010, state law requires that all students have the pertussis booster (TDAP) prior to attending school in California.
  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate (the student will be registered under their legal name provided on the birth certificate per California Ed Code).

Step Four

Complete and print the NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT PACKET.

Step Five

Contact the SVUSD Virtual Academy (949-580-3457 or giokarisg@svusd.org) to set-up an enrollment appointment. Please bring the completed AERIES Internet Registration (AIR) Form, required documents (Step 3), and the completed New Student Enrollment Packet (Step 4) to your appointment.

Both student and parent must attend the registration appointment.

Step Six (August)

Complete the online data confirmation process. (See ALL STUDENT: REGISTRATION below.) Data confirmation and registration appointments will begin in August. The SVUSD Virtual Academy will notify you when the online data confirmation system is available.

Current SVUSD Student Enrollment

Returning SVUSD Student Enrollment

All Students: Registration and Data Confirmation (in August)

Data confirmation and registration appointments will begin in August. The SVUSD Virtual Academy will notify you when the online data confirmation system is available.

The SVUSD Virtual Academy registration and data confirmation for the 18-19 school year must be completed online. To access the required documents and complete the online data confirmation, you must have a Parent Portal Account. If you do not or are unsure if you have one, please review the Family Portal FAQs.

Step One: Complete Data Confirmation

Review, change, and confirm student data on the AERIES Family Portal. Remember, you must have a parent account to change the data. Follow all prompts and tabs within the Data Confirmation pages to review and update your student’s information regarding: contact, guardianship, emergency contact, and medical history.

Step Two: Print and Sign Required Documents

Review, print, and sign all required documents.

Step Three: Registration Appointment

SVUSD Virtual Academy will notify you of your registration appointment. Data confirmation must be completed prior to your registration appointment. Please bring all required online data confirmation documentation to your appointment.

Student and parent must both attend the registration appointment.
