Positive Behaviors Interventions & Supports (PBIS)
Help Silverado stock the Silvy Shack!
Silverado High School has implemented a PBIS program that that reinforces positive behaviors and teaches students how to S.O.A.R. by being Successful, Optimistic, Accountable & Respectful. Our students earn points through the PBIS Rewards app for positive behaviors in the classroom, on campus and within the community. Students can then spend their earned points in the Silvy Shack to purchase items, such as school supplies, Silverado swag and free food coupons donated from local restaurants.
The Silvy Shack is funded entirely through donations from Silverado Staff, SVUSD District donors and local Community donors. We hope you will consider clicking on the below link to purchase items for donation to help stock our store! We guarantee your donated items will be much appreciated and used to help teach our students the importance of positivity! Thank you!
Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a team-based process including a broad range of systemic and individualized strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes. It is a proactive approach to teach, monitor, and support appropriate school behavior for all students. The fundamental purpose of PBIS is to make schools more effective, efficient and equitable learning environments. At Silverado, our focus is on preventing problem behavior of all students at the school-wide, classroom, community and individual levels.
Silverado PBIS Mission Statement
The Mission of the Silverado High School PBIS team is to create and maintain a safe, effective, and positive school and learning environment. The implementation of behavioral support will allow all students the opportunity to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
