About Los Alisos

Los Alisos Intermediate School is located in the city of Mission Viejo, educating students in 7th and 8th grade. The school opened its doors in 1972. Los Alisos’ mission is to use innovative resources to provide relevant, engaging instruction centered on inquiry to empower students to be self-motivated, life-long learners. It provides a safe environment to promote a culture of respect and tolerance. Their vision is to create an innovative learning community that develops the students to become self-motivated, life-long learners and respectful global citizens.

 

Los Alisos has a distinguished history. Most recently they were recognized as a California Distinguished School during the 2012-13 school year and have also won this award in prior years. Other distinguished awards include being recognized as a Golden Bell Award School, an Apple Distinguished School, and as a National Blue Ribbon School. At Los Alisos, they pride themselves on having a dedicated, supportive and caring staff.
