About Los Alisos

Los Alisos Intermediate School is located in the city of Mission Viejo, educating students in 7^th and 8^th grade. The school opened its doors in 1972. Los Alisos’ mission is to use innovative resources to provide relevant, engaging instruction centered on inquiry to empower students to be self-motivated, life-long learners. It provides a safe environment to promote a culture of respect and tolerance. Their vision is to create an innovative learning community that develops the students to become self-motivated, life-long learners and respectful global citizens.

Los Alisos has a distinguished history. Most recently they were recognized as a California Distinguished School during the 2012-13 school year and have also won this award in prior years. Other distinguished awards include being recognized as a Golden Bell Award School, an Apple Distinguished School, and as a National Blue Ribbon School. At Los Alisos, they pride themselves on having a dedicated, supportive and caring staff.
