San Joaquin Elementary School is located in the city of Laguna Hills, educating students from kindergarten through 6th grade. The school opened its doors in 1974. It is the mission of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District to be innovative. Saddleback Valley innovates through focuses on personalized lesson design, engaging strategies, and developing innovative practices that create successful students.

 

 

San Joaquin is an AVID certified school with a focus on careers and colleges. They have a leveled reading program for individuals’ level and needs, ST Math, Brand new Benchmark Language Arts program, State of the art Garden, NGSS Science units, Play works - organized recess games led by Junior Coaches (students), 1:1 chrome and iPads, and coming soon Robots for coding in the lab. In addition they have family opportunities with their PAWS lunch, Jog-a-thon, Sports-Fest and end-of-the year picnics.
