Integrated Science 7

Integrated science will focus on the life sciences.  The course will emphasize cells, cell structure, genetics, and biological changes over time.  The curriculum accents student involvement with hands-on investigations and experiments.  Students investigate ideas, issues, and interests that make up our contemporary understanding of science and technology.

Integrated Science 8

The eighth grade integrated science curriculum is a year-long course that focuses on the physical sciences.  The course will emphasize astronomy, forces, motion, interactions, and the structure and composition of matter.  The curriculum promotes student engagement through hands-on investigations and experiments.  Students are encouraged to investigate ideas, issues, and interests that make up our contemporary understanding of science and technology.

Integrated Science 8 Honors

Students taking algebra or geometry in 8th grade are automatically enrolled in honors science.  This course will parallel the concepts taught in the Integrated Science course, and students will delve deeper into more complex analyses of each topic.  Honors science requires higher-level reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills.  Students rely on excellent oral and written skills to communicate their ideas and apply their knowledge.
