Because every child is different, and Los Alisos students get something different.  

Los Alisos is something special. We recognize that each child deserves to be seen, and at Los Alisos, we take pride in how we meet the needs of each of our students by having something for everybody. We have been recognized as a California Distinguished School, a Golden Bell Award School, an Apple Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School and as a Platinum Level PBIS School (see below). We have a strong belief that every will leave our school being college and career bound, and we incorporate this into everything we do. We have an incredible staff who works tirelessly on perfecting their craft and focusing on innovation, intentional lesson designs and engaging strategies for each of our students. All of this is done through the lens that our students must be global citizens with strong character. We are very fortunate to be the only middle school in SVUSD with Title 1 funding, and we gratefully use these funds to help support many of the following programs that make us stand out in the district: 

• 2 Year comprehensive Honors Program
• Spanish Two Way Immersion (TWI)
• Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program in both 7th and 8th Grade 
• MUN, CJSF, Run Club and over 25 other school clubs
• Smaller Numbers for Increased Personalization

On behalf of the California PBIS Coalition, Los Alisos Intermediate School has been recognized for successful PBIS implementation at the Platinum level. This reflects excellence in the measurement of fidelity as well as our efforts in implementing the core features of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Here at Los Alisos, we are sincerely committed towards implementing PBIS with fidelity and creating the conditions to maximize academic and social behavioral outcomes for ALL students.
