October 5, 2021
The 33rd Annual Walk Against Drugs will take place on Saturday, October 16th from 8-11 AM. This year's Walk Against Drugs will be making a little bit of a shift compared to past years' walks, however. The walk will follow a designated path along the Oso Creek Trail and will feature 11 different educational stations. Walkers can use their phones to scan QR codes at each station.
By scanning each QR code, walkers will be able to see important educational videos and be entered for a chance to win great prizes. Every video viewed gives walkers the chance to win. These videos will include well-known people such as former Tennis Olympian Michael Chang and actress Kayden Tokarski. Tokarski is the keynote speaker for the event and is also a Capistrano Unified School District student.
This event is being held for people of all ages and students in grades K-12 are encouraged to wear red in honor of Red Ribbon Week. The event will start at 24932 Veterans Way (in Mission Viejo) and patrons can arrive any time between 8-11 AM.
