California Immunization Requirements for school
California law requires that students entering school have immunizations for certain childhood illnesses. Bring the written verification of any new immunizations to your child's school before the school year begins.
The District does not provide immunization clinics. Please contact your medical provider or call the Orange County Health Care Agency at 1-800-564-8448.

7th Grade Admission: Teen Booster: Pertussis Or "Whooping Cough"
California State Law requires all students entering 7th through 12th grades to show proof of a teen booster shot against whooping cough (pertussis) known as a Tdap booster and a Varicella (Chickenpox) booster.
For ALL 7th Grade Starting July 1, 2019 Students Need:

Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) —1 dose(Whooping cough booster usually given at 11 years and up)

Varicella (Chickenpox) — 2 doses
(Usually given at ages 12 months and 4-6 years)
Parents must show their child's Immunization Record as proof of immunization.
Additional school immunization requirements for 7th graders typically apply to students who:
- Previously had a valid personal beliefs exemption filed before 2016 upon entry between TK/Kindergarten and 6th grade - (they are No Longer valid) and
- New admissions, including from out-of-state; applies to all grades.
