School Attendance Review Board

The School Attendance Review Board process is an intervention designed to help students and their families identify the issues related to their students' attendance and provide appropriate resources.

The SARB panel consists of members from the Saddleback Valley Unified School District as well as outside agencies, including District Coordinators from Student Services, Coordinator of Mental Health, District Nurse, School Site Administrator, Orange County Probation, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and Orange County Social Services.

Our comprehensive panel is looking to identify solutions that are reasonable and effective for the student and family. In the event the parent and/or student is not cooperative, the panel may take action by filing a petition with Orange County Probation or the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
