Welcome to the Saddleback Valley Unified School District’s employee benefits website. The Benefits Department is responsible for administering all employee benefit plans as well as Workers’ Compensation and Affordable Care Act compliance.

Eligible for all health benefits:
  • Management and Certificated – hired to work at least 50%
  • Classified – hired to work more than 30 hours per week
Eligible for HMO medical and mental health:
  • PT Classified – hired to work 20-30 hours per week
  • Childcare – hired to work 6 hours per day

If you’re eligible for benefits you must contact the Benefits Service Center to complete enrollment or declination within 31 days of your start date in a benefit eligible position. Benefits will begin on the first of the following month unless you were hired on the first day of the month, in which case you will be covered as of your start date.

To enroll an eligible dependent you will need to submit documentation to verify eligibility.

Benefit deductions are calculated based on a 10-month schedule so no deductions are taken in July and August.
