SVUSD requires prequalification of prime or general contractors and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (“MEP”) subcontractors (as defined in Public Contract Code section 20111.6) to participate in bidding or proposing on certain projects. Informal Bid Opportunities

Information

As of April 7, 2017, SVUSD adopted the Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Procedure (CUPCCA) for projects ranging from $1.00 to $200,000.00 (as of January 1, 2019 per CA AB2249). Contractors must be on SVUSD's Qualified Contractor List in order to submit bids for Informal Bid Opportunities. Consistent with the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA), Saddleback Valley Unified School District is inviting contractors to bid on project number IB 18/19-165 (Laguna Hills High School plumbing fixture replacement). This Project is being bid in accordance with CUPCCAA, therefore, bidders shall comply with any requirements set forth in the CUPCCAA Procedures Manual.

The attached Notice Inviting Bids is for the Laguna Hills High School (LHHS) project only. After the mandatory job walk for the LHHS project, we will continue to survey three additional elementary school sites that will also have plumbing fixtures replaced. Those elementary sites are Linda Vista, Cordillera, and Valencia. The District will be requesting separate quotes for these three elementary school projects, and the three sites will be regular CUPCCAA projects.
