SVUSD is proud to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership, and commitment to learning through several honors offered by the California Department of Education (CDE). These state recognitions celebrate students who develop multilingual skills, engage meaningfully in civic life, and achieve high levels of academic excellence. Through programs such as Home Language Development Recognition, the State Seal of Biliteracy, the State Seal of Civic Engagement and the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma we honor students for their dedication to learning, their cultural and linguistic assets, and their contributions to their communities. Information about the requirements for each of these recognitions/awards along with the application process (if applicable) can be found on the included sub-pages.
