Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

The South Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SOC SELPA) CAC seeks to join together parents, educators, lawmakers, service providers and other community members who want to make a difference in the education of all students. The CAC is here to inform and support with the goal of improving and protecting the education of our children.
We are always looking for new CAC members and volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a voting member or volunteer, please fill out our CAC Participation Application Form.
Please view our CAC meeting schedule (Calendario de reuniones), and join us for our next meeting.
“Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child.”

Elections for Voting Members and Executive Board - May 24, 2023
It is that time of year - elections will be on the agenda at our final CAC Meeting on May 24, 2023. If you are interested in joining the team, please review the open positions information below, and decide what position(s) you are interested in filling. Executive board positions are a one year term and must come from the pool of existing voting members (this will also include any newly elected voting members). The election for new voting members will occur first so that the new members can also run for an executive board position. You can check both boxes on the application if you are interested in doing both.
