TLC Child Care Programs
Child Care during the Hybrid Learning Phase
The Learning Connection, "TLC" is a positive alternative for working parents in need of quality child care. TLC Hybrid has been created to support families during the Hybrid academic learning phase. We offer care for children in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade, a positive and meaningful before and after school experience, 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. TLC centers are located at each elementary school campus in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District.
TLC is a structured program designed to help children develop social, physical, and mental abilities. Group activities, as well as individual time, will help each child grow to his or her potential. We are honored to serve the families in our care.
Please Note: Due to COVID restrictions, our programs are running at a reduced capacity. Space is not guaranteed and enrollments are taken in the order in which they are received.

Masks will be worn by staff daily. In accordance with the Board of Education directives, all students are required to wear a mask while participating in the program. If a child refuses to wear a mask, they may not participate in the program. A mask must be brought from home daily. Face shields are only permissible for students with a medical or special needs requirement. A doctor's note is required for medical conditions requiring face shield. Children may remove the mask while playing outside and while eating.
For the health and safety of all students and staff, parents will not be allowed to enter the TLC portables. All children will have their temperature taken daily upon arrival. Children with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be given specific guidance and requirements that must be met before re-entry into the program. If a child is showing signs of illness, the family will be notified to pick up immediately. If COVID-19 is suspected, confidentiality will be maintained and all families at the site will be notified of possible exposure.
Children will be encouraged to wash their hands throughout the day and practice social distancing. A daily snack will be provided by TLC. Children are required to bring a reusable water bottle daily and may choose to purchase a lunch or bring one from home. There will be no refrigeration or microwave available.
TLC will provide quiet time to allow children to complete homework and asynchronous learning activities. If you would like your child to participate in Homework Club, please complete a form available on site.
