Bus Pass Sales dates for 2018-2019 school year.

June 6, 2018 at noon through June 22, 2018 4:30 pm.

Bus pass sales have now ended. If you would like a bus pass there is a wait list process, please e-mail buspass@svusd.org include in your e-mail student first and last name, school attending and home address. Within 72 hours you should receive an e-mail stating you have been added to the wait list. If a space is avialable or becomes available you will be notifed by e-mail. 

Please review bus pass purchasing instrucitons prior to completing your applications along with bus rules.

Linda Vista Elementary

  1. Bus pass sales for 2018-2019 begin 6/6/2018 through 6/20/2018.
  2. Linda Vista bus pass sales are done at Linda Vista not through this website. Contact the school office.
  3. Linda Vista will included your students bus pass in their school packet you will be picking up in August.
  4. If you miss the bus pass sales period, please contact Linda Vista Elementary office staff on or after August 13, 2018.

Note: Please remember buses may appear to have space available even when all seats have been purchased. Not all riders who purchase bus passes choose to ride the bus daily based on appointments, absences, sports, and other activities they may choose to use the bus only during their off seasons or only on certain days or one way.

San Joaquin Elementary

  1. Bus pass sales for 2018-2019 begin 6/6/2018 through 6/20/2018. At school site.
  2. Bus pass sales for 2018-2019 begin 6/6/2018 through 6/22/2018 by applly through U.S. Mail.
  3. San Joaquin allows both online purchase and school site purchases.
  4. San Joaquin will distribute student bus passes at school in August. For further information, please contact San Joaquin Elementary office staff.
  5. If you miss the bus pass sales period please, contact San Joaquin Elementary directly to inquire about purchasing a bus pass upon their return August 13,2018 or apply through the wait list option which will be posted after sales period ends.

La Paz, RSM and MVHS

  2. La Paz, RSM and MVHS bus pass will be mailed to your home

General Information regarding busing

All bus pass purchased are final and non refundable

There is no bus pass office or staff available for walk-ins.

All services are provided through the website and e-mail only.

The district receptionist has no bus pass information and cannot accept applications.

  • Applications accepted by U.S. mail with a postmarked of June 6, 2018 through June 22, 2018 only. Applications received before or after this date will be returned unprocessed.
  • Full payment in the form of money order, due with application payable to SVUSD.
  • No refunds. (no exceptions)
  • No prorated bus passes available during the school year.
  • Students will not be allowed to board the bus in the AM/PM without a bus pass beginning the first day of school August 27, 2018.
  • Students must carry and show their bus pass AM/PM everyday beginning August 27, 2018 through June 13, 2019 in order to ride the bus (no exceptions).
  • Pick up and drop off locations are based on your student’s home address listed on your student’s school file. Students can only get on/off the bus at their assigned stop.
  • Students must be at the bus stop five minutes before published pick up time, but not more than 10 minutes prior to the published pick up time.
  • When the driver arrives at the stop, he will load the bus with the waiting students and then proceed to the next stop. Published times are approximate.
  • Transportation does not need to be notified if your student is absent.
  • Bus numbers and time updates, if needed will be posted on this website August 26, 2018 no later than 5:30pm.
  • Busing and school begin August 27, 2018 all students.
  • Lost or stolen bus pass replacement can be purchased through the website at buspass@svusd.org. Replacement $25.00 for first replacement add $5.00 for each replacement after that payable by money order SVUSD.
  • Questions can be e-mailed to buspass@svusd.org.

  1. Click e-mail bus pass. So arrangements can be made so your student can continue riding the bus until his replacement bus pass has been completed. If e-mail is not received your student will not be allowed to ride the bus.
  2. What to include in e-mail
    • Student first and last name.
    • Student six digit ID number if known.
    • School of attendance.
    • Subject: Bus pass replacement.
  3. Complete Replacement bus pass form attached.

La Paz Intermediate, Rancho Santa Margarite and Mission Viejo High School Replacement/Lost Passes.

Free income eligibility guidelines cannot be posted. You must e-mail bus pass at buspass@svusd.org with student's first and last name, gross income from 1040 tax return and number of claimed dependents. You will be e-mailed back if you qualify for free.
