Santiago Elementary School - Facility Needs Assessment and Plan

About Santiago

Santiago Elementary School is located in the city of Lake Forest, educating students from kindergarten through 6th grade. The school opened its doors in 1973. It was built upon the belief of passionately developing intelligent, creative, and kind young adults in an environment that is socially, economically, and racially diverse to deliver unparalleled preparation for higher education. There is an innate commitment to lifelong artistic and scholarly development. Santiago’s vision places an emphasis on rigor, increasing expectations, providing the needed supports, and creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning.

College and Career Awareness is an exciting endeavor at Santiago. They are a certified AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) school. Santiago has also developed a Career Day. Members of the community come together to share their love of their careers. Last year, there were over 45 presentations! Lastly, they have developed Field Trip Tours to high schools, community colleges, and state and private universities within southern California. All grades participate in one trip per year to gain a new perspective on higher education.

“We are Intelligent. We are Creative. We are Kind. We are Santiago Elementary.”
