There are two online training sites currently available to SVUSD employees. The first is ElementK.com, and the second is CTAP Virtual Training. ElementK is very interactive and focuses on the Microsoft Suite (for both PC's and Mac's) while the CTAP Virtual Training site is more of a video style training session that focuses predominately on Mac based applications. See below for more information about each web site.

ElementK -
www.elementk.com
This site is a great resource for beginning and adavanced users alike. For beginners, you can take a series of short classes one after the other, at your own pace, from either home or work. For advanced users, you can use the site as a refresher course or as a quick reference guide for those odds and ends that you occasionally forget about. ElementK has courses on:
- The entire Microsoft Suite of applications -
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, Project, etc (for both PC and Mac)
- Operating Systems -
Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT
Mac OS9
- High-end applications -
Photoshop, GoLive, Illustrator, PageMaker, Quark, the Macromedia Suite, and more

CTAP Virtual Training -

The CTAP Virtual Training site is better for users who are accustomed to Mac's. This site contains many of the same courses as the ElementK site, but these courses are not as interactive (more of a video style) and some of the courses aren't as current as on ElementK. However, this site does contain courseware for those of you who have older computers with older versions of software loaded.
