Principal's Message

Fall 2022

Dear Montevideo School Family,

We love our volunteers!

We are so excited to be welcoming our parents back on campus as volunteers. Please see the steps below in order to join us as we serve our students.

Steps To Volunteering – Must be done annually

  1. Complete the Volunteer Form 1 packet.
  2. Bring in a copy of a valid picture ID (office can make a copy if needed)

Once you have been cleared, you are ready to volunteer!

  • All Volunteers/Visitors must check-in at the front office.
  • Your ID will be run through the Raptor System and you will be provided a sticker ID that must be worn at all times on campus.
  • Visitors/Volunteers without a Raptor ID sticker will be redirected to the front office by a school staff member

We are looking forward to working with you.

Much love,

Mrs. Graham, Montevideo Principal

Meet the Principal

It is such an honor and privilege to be a part of the Montevideo Elementary School Staff and community.

My years of schooling have provided me with a respect and understanding regarding the rigors of academia. I can truly relate to the students enjoyment of learning and the joy of innovation and creativity. I obtained my Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development from California State University, Fullerton. I then went on to Chapman University for my teaching credential and my Masters of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I received my Administrative Credential from the University of California, Irvine.

The education of students (of all ages) has been a passion of mine for most of my life! I have worked in the public school system for thirty years, and have had the opportunity to work with students in kindergarten through eighth grade. I served as a Mentor Teacher for a number of those years and am a fellow of the California Reading and Literature Project. I have presented both locally and nationally in the areas of reading, curriculum, assessment, gifted education and school wide reform. I have also served as an adjunct professor for Concordia University and as a "Teacher on Special Assignment" coordinating the Tustin Unified School District Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program. Before joining the Montevideo family, I was the Principal at Glen Yermo Elementary and Del Cerro Elementary in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, and I greatly enjoy my position as a school administrator.

On a personal note, my husband Ken and I were married for almost thirty years before his passing. Our legacy of love continues with a precious eleven year old boy named John! John and I enjoy church, traveling, amusement parks, reading, being with friends, hiking in nature, and spur of the moment adventures.

You can always reach me by phone at 949-586-6766 or through email at grahaml@svusd.org.

It is such a blessing to be a part the Montevideo family, and I look forward to working with all of you as we join together to ensure the continued success of all our students.
