School Supplies 2017-18

Parents can help their students be successful in school by providing supplies. The teachers have created a suggested list of supplies for the students. When shopping for supplies, the following items would be appropriate to consider.

Kindergarten

  • 1 package 24 Crayola Twistables – Please do not purchase another brand.
  • 1 set of headphones that will fit your child. Please take out of packaging and place in an individual baggie labeled with your child’s name
  • 6 small glue sticks
  • 1 bottle of Elmer’s brand glue
  • 1 package white erasers
  • 1 box cube of Kleenex
  • 1 package of baby wipes
  • 1 package of Clorox wipes
  • 1 box of gallon size baggies (A-F families) 1box of quart size baggies (G-N families) 1 box of sandwich baggies (O-Z families)
  • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer

1st Grade

  • 1 box of yellow Ticonderoga pencils, SHARPENED
  • 1 box of 24 count crayons or 24 count Twistables, larger boxes will be sent home
  • 1 pair headphones, in an individual Ziplock baggie, marked with student’s name
  • 1 box of 8 count, wide tipped washable markers
  • 3 Expo (black only) washable markers
  • 6 (rectangular) pink erasers
  • 5 large glue sticks or 10 small glue sticks
  • 2 (4 oz.) bottles of white glue
  • 1 pair (5”) Fiskar scissors
  • 2 sturdy folders with pockets (not plastic)
  • 1 (1”) 3-ring binder
  • 1 box of Bandaids
  • 1 box of Klennex
  • 1 large container or 2 small containers of Clorox wipes

2nd Grade

  • 1 box of 24 Crayola Crayons
  • 1box of 24 Crayola colored pencils
  • 1pair of ear buds, in an individual Ziplock baggie marked with student’s name
  • 1 box of 8 Crayola markers (skinny size)
  • 24 #2 sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga brand preferred)
  • 3 white Magic Rub pencil eraser
  • 3 glue sticks
  • 1 4 oz. bottle white glue
  • 1pencil sharpener, 2 holes, covered well
  • 1pair Fiskar’s children’s scissors (pointed)
  • 2 canisters of cleaning wipes
  • 1clipboard (no trays please)
  • 1box of Kleenex
  • 2- 3thin dry erase markers

3rd Grade

  • 1 One pair of 5 “ children’s sharp scissors
  • 1 One pair of ear buds, in an individual baggie, marked with the student’s name
  • 2 White erasers
  • 24 #2 pencils (sharpened)
  • 1 Set of colored pencils (sharpened)
  • 1Covered pencil sharpener (no electric)
  • 1 Zippered pencil pouch or box – small enough to fit in desk
  • 1 Large box of Kleenex
  • 1 Folder with pockets
  • 2 Loose leaf paper – wide ruled - not college ruled
  • 1 Yellow highlighter
  • 1 Box of 24 crayons
  • 2 Red ballpoint pen
  • 2 Bottle liquid glue
  • 2 Dry erase markers (dark colors only)
  • 1 Pack of glue sticks
  • 1 Clipboard

4th Grade

  • Pencils (#2) – Two dozen sharpened (no mechanical)
  • One pair ear buds, in an individual Ziplock baggie, marked with
    student’s name
  • One 12-pack of Crayola colored pencils
  • One 24-pack of Crayola crayons (no larger)
  • Highlighters – one yellow and one pink
  • Notebook paper – 3 hole (one package, 200 sheets total) wide rule-no college ruled
  • Small plastic zipper pouch or small pencil box to keep pens and pencils in
  • Box of Tissues (We will store and open one at a time for class.)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler with inches and centimeters
  • Backpack
  • Covered pencil sharpener for desk – no electric or desktop sharpeners
  • 2 black dry erase markers
  • 2 Flair finefelt tipped black markers
  • 2 white or Magic Rub erasers
  • 1 package of baby or Clorox wipes
  • 1 box of Ziplock bags, either sandwich, quart or gallon size

NO BINDERS OR SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS - Please do not send anything that is not on this list.

5th Grade

  • 1 large white eraser (Hi-Polymer, Pentel is a good example)
  • 1 pair of ear buds, in an individual Ziplock baggie marked with student’s name
  • Pencils (#2) about a dozen or a mechanical pencil with refills
  • 2 Highlighters (any colors)
  • 4 Red correcting pens (any type other than permanent markers)
  • 2 Black dry erase markers, fine point
  • Colored pencils
  • Crayons (no large boxes 16 or less)
  • Your personal supply of notebook paper, 3-hole punched, college ruled
  • Ruler with both metric and customary measurement - sturdy
  • Plastic zipper container for pens and pencils – this to be kept in binder – no pencil boxes please, the desks are just too small
  • Scissors 5” sharp
  • 2 Glue sticks
  • Subject notebook dividers (at least 6) with pockets
  • One 2 Inch (no larger), 3 ring binder
  • Clorox disinfecting wipes (any brand ok – no baby wipes)
  • Box of tissues (we will store and open one at a time for class)
  • Backpack

**Please note: Don’t purchase wide 3 ring binders (2 1/2” – 3”) as they are too large for the desks.

6th Grade

  • Pencils (#2) - about 6 or mechanical pencils with refills (store excess at home)
  • 1 pair of ear buds, in an individual Ziplock baggie marked with student’s name
  • Ballpoint pens - red, blue and black (several of each)
  • 2 thin black, felt-tip markers (like Paper Mate Flair)
  • Felt markers- at least 16 colors - either thin or wide
  • Highlighters – set of 4-5 colors
  • Set of colored pencils
  • 1 large pink or white eraser
  • Notebook paper – 3-hole punched, college ruled, approximately 500 sheets total (to be stored at school)
  • Graph paper – ¼ inch squares (to be stored at school)
  • Ruler - with both metric and regular measurements, sturdy
  • Scissors - ones that will cut paper and lightweight cardboard, yarn, etc.
  • 2 glue sticks – Elmer’s preferred is possible
  • 3” x 5” index cards, ruled (approximately 200)
  • Notebook or binder/organizational system of your choosing (no larger than 2” recommended)
  • Box of tissues (to be stored and shared with class)
  • Wipes (unscented) to be stored in class
  • 2 whiteboard dry erase markers (preferably black or blue)

Check with homeroom teacher:

  • Individual white board (size approximately 9” by 11”)
  • Clean sock to use as white board eraser
  • Intermediate calculator
  • Intermediate World Atlas
