Welcome to the Foothill Ranch Elementary (FRE) website! We are very proud of our school and hope that you enjoy your online tour of our site. However, what we are most proud of is the strong bond we have with our students, community and parents. We firmly believe that it does take a whole village to “raise” a child.

Foothill Ranch Elementary School provides a strong academic focus for our students along with an environment that supports the building of positive behavior, social relationships, and individual responsibility. Students’ individual needs are the focus for teachers. A school wide instructional focus on 21st Century skills is supported by all staff members and is evident in all classrooms. We believe in a balanced educational program, where students thrive in core curricular areas and maintain a love for visual and performing arts, STEAM and the meaningful integration of technology in each classroom. The California Common Core Standards serve as the guide for all instruction, and our teachers focus on these standards while utilizing a variety of engaging instructional strategies

Our facility is exceptional with a beautiful view of Foothill Ranch, a large garden and multiple outdoor learning areas. We are a Mello-Roos school and have received school improvements that were funded through Measure B money. Our campus will also go through "modernization" during the summer of 2023.  The office area will be completely redesigned as well as our kindergarten classrooms and play area.  There will also be the addition of a STEAM lab and upgrades to classrooms.  The majority of our classrooms currently have the SV Innovates technology and flexible seating.  This includes 2 large monitors and a state of the art sound system as well as new flexible seating.  All classrooms will be SV Innovates classrooms after the modernization. 

With the support of our amazing PTA, parent donations, and district initiatives our students have access to Chromebooks and/or iPads to support and engage them in learning.   The staff is highly focused on integrating technology with the curriculum so our students are better prepared for the 21st century.
