High School Registration Dates:

  • Friday, August 18 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM - Seniors
  • Thursday, August 17 from 2:00 - 8:30PM - Seniors
  • Monday, August 21 through Thursday, August 24 from 2:00 - 8:30 PM
  • Friday, August 25 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM
  • Monday, August 28 - August 25

High School Students Class Registration (Minors)

High school students who wish to take Adult Education classes in addition to their regular high school program must complete the form "Request For Registration In Adult Education By A Day School Student." This form is available in the guidance office at each high school.

Registration is ongoing from August 17 - September 8.

High school students from SVUSD high schools who enroll in Adult Education English, Math, Social Science, or Science classes generally obtain their textbooks from their home high school. Check with the Adult Education teacher at the first class meeting for details regarding a book. If a student does not have the textbook by the second class meeting that they attend, he or she may be dropped from the class. Students experiencing difficulty obtaining a textbook should immediately contact the Adult Education office for assistance.

For a 2.5 credit class (8 weeks):
  • Credit students must attend class a minimum of 24 hours.
  • Students will be automatically dropped from class after THREE (3) hours of absence, regardless of any reason or "makeup" time.
For a 5.0 credit class (15 weeks):
  • Credit students must attend class a minimum of 45 hours.
  • Students will be automatically dropped from class after THREE (3) hours of absence, regardless of any reason or "makeup" time.

High School Diploma Students Class Registration (Adults)

Adults wishing to take classes for high school credit must contact the Adult Education office at (949) 837-8830 for information on enrolling in the high school diploma program.

New students need to make an appointment and have their most recent High School transcript available.

Registration is ongoing. Adult students taking high school credit classes may check out textbooks through their instructor or the Adult Education office.


Special Needs Students Class Registration

Initial admission to the Special Needs program is by interview. Registration is ongoing.

Ways to Register

By Mail
  • Begins August 16th
  • Mail is received once a day in the afternoon.
  • For each class choice, checks only will be accepted made out to: SVUSD
  • For clerical reasons, if only one check has been submitted for multiple classes and one or more of these classes are full, all registration material will be returned to you without being processed.
  • To receive a confirmation by mail (your payment receipt) for your mail-in registration, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
  • Note: Due to the high volume of registration, we are currently unable to do telephone confirmation or FAX confirmation.
  • Please use the form when registering by MAIL-IN, or WALK-IN. You may print a copy of a blank registration form by clicking.
  • If paying by check, use a separate check for each class choice. For clerical reasons, if only one check has been submitted for multiple classes and one or more of these classes are full, ALL REGISTRATION MATERIAL WILL BE RETURNED to you without being processed.

Walk-In Registration
  • Begins August 25th
  • Monday - Thursdays, 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the main Adult Education office (located at 25598 Peter A. Hartman Way, Mission Viejo) if space is available.
  • If paying by check, use a separate check for each class choice. For clerical reasons, if only one check has been submitted for multiple classes and one or more of these classes are full, ALL REGISTRATION MATERIAL WILL BE RETURNED to you without being processed.
Online Registration
  • Begins August 25th
  • All credit card payments are secured. (Visa, MasterCard only)
  • There is a $2.95 additional fee for registering on line.
  • Include your correct e-mail address when registering and receive a confirmation that your registration has been received by the Adult Education office.
  • To receive a confirmation by mail (your payment receipt) for your on-line registration, please mail in a self-addressed, stamped envelope with a note listing the classes registered for and stating that you registered on-line.
Certificate of Completion

  • Credit students must attend class a minimum of 24 hours.
  • Students will be automatically dropped from class after three (3) hours of absence, regardless of any reason or "makeup" time.
  • Credit students must attend class a minimum of 45 hours.
  • Students will be automatically dropped from class after three (3) hours of absence, regardless of any reason or "makeup" time.
  • Adult students who wish to receive a "Certificate of Completion" must meet the attendance requirements for the class and have satisfactory progress. Students are asked to make the request for a certificate at the first class meeting they attend. This will enable the instructor to keep the proper records, for a certificate.
