VERY IMPORTANT INFOMATION: TRANSPORTATION FEES
ALL Orchestra Students are required by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District to pay a $150.00 transportation fee or turn in a waiver to have that fee dismissed. Checks should be made out to: EL TORO HIGH SCHOOL. Please turn your check or waiver in during registration. This is NOT part of the tax deductable contributions requested by the IMPB.
www.ethsband.com, the ETHS Instrumental Music and Pageantry Booster website, is currently under construction. The ETHS IMPB, hope to have it up and running sometime this fall. Please attend our regular booster meetings and visit this webpage for information about upcoming events. Thank you for your patience.

Students will have semi - private lessons with professional musicians as well as study written and applied music theory. This will give you child the extra attention need to prepare for another successful year of music. Orchestra Camp is required for all students who wish to participate in orchestra during the 2008/2009 school year. If you are unable to attend orchestra camp, please contact the orchestra director immediately.

Independent Practice
Students should be practicing a minimum of one hour everyday, at home. This hour should include all of the following:
- A warm up and practice of scales
- Playing the music they are currently working on in class, especially in the sections that the student personally is struggling with.
When students encounter a difficulty with their music while practicing at home they are encouraged to ask the director for help before, during, or after class.
