A PARENTS GUIDE TO INTRA-DISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT

Due to limited resources related to the California Fiscal Crisis and to furlough days, the elementary school choice letters will be mailed by June 10 and that, depending on mail delivery, the letters should arrive at homes during the week of June 14.
Due to the California Fiscal Crisis, School Choice Bulletins will not be printed and distributed to all families this year. The Bulletin will be posted on the SVUSD School Choice website and a limited number of bulletins and applications will be available at each school and the District Office for those who do not have internet access.

The 2010 choice window has closed for all grade levels. Intermediate and high school Choice status letters were mailed on March 5, 2010.
Elementary School Choice status letters will be mailed on June 4, 2010.
If you missed the choice deadline you may obtain a transfer request at any Saddleback Valley Unified school site or the Pupil Services Department at the District Office (949) 580-3212.

As per SVUSD Board Policies and California law, requests for placement at a "school of choice" will not be processed on a first-come, first-served basis but will be approved using an unbiased random selection process and only if space is available at the school requested.
