PTA meeting on Feb. 18th in the library.  January 2010 I can hardly believe that it is 2010! Our Fall 2009 Kickball Tournament is still going (rain, and other excuses) and we are down to the end. Mrs. Giguere's Kickin' Bears defeated Ms. Grosse's Kickin' Gorillas to make it to the finals. They await the winner of the Mrs. Hughes/Garreton's Hammerin' Hammer Toes and Mrs. Root's Boots. All in good fun and in the spirit of good sportsmanship. We are lucky enough to get new basketballs, kickballs, and soccer balls from a donation by our fabulous Student Council. The "wallyballs" are great for kickball as well as handball. Our students love them! Big thanks to the Student Council Advisors, Ms. Grosse and Mrs. Moore, and also to Mrs. Pritchard for getting us the fine equipment. Los Angeles Kings Update - We fell on a poor streak over the holidays by losing four in a row, but bounced back with three big wins, one versus the nasty Sharks. Back to earth we fell by losing to the lowly St. Louis Blues last Saturday. This rollercoaster is starting to get me dizzy! One more bit of bad news - Justin Williams broke his leg is out indefinitely. No worries...The Kings sit at number eight in the west and Ryan Smyth is back. Sharks tonight...we have more work to do before march rolls around... Happy New Year to All! Go Cheetahs! |
