Announcements

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. I'm looking forward to another exciting year working with all of you and know that 2009-2010 will be a fun and rewarding year. This year we continue with a solid administrative team and a dynamic teaching and support staff. Our major focus for the year will be the implementation of our new staff development program entitled, The L.A.P.D. (The Los Alisos Professional Development Program). This concept involves providing the staff a number of training strands designed to build instructional skills and provide students more motivational educational experiences.

In terms of facilities, out entire school has been modernized and with the inclusion of our new gym, we have a fantastic facility ready for your children. I'm sure you will be impressed!

On the staffing side, I am very happy to announce that we have hired a few new teachers. Mr. Mark Diederich (RSP) and Mrs. Kathy Parrish (Phys. Ed.) will join us this year and will add greatly to the fine programs we already offer. We will also start the year with three long-term substitutes while a few veteran teachers are off on Maternity Leave.

As a reminder, the Los Alisos web site is designed to assist you by providing valuable information and details concerning Los Alisos. Please refer to it many times throughout the year and we'll do our best to keep you updated on school news and events. Also, please remember to stay in touch with the office staff when you have questions or concerns related to school. Have a wonderful year.

Dr. Ray
